When Suspicions are rising

It was a bright Monday...how am I kidding everyone hates mondays well it was lunchtime as you were sitting by yourself in the cafeteria since you actually didn't want to speak to anyone today

You actually had your ear phones in as you were basically playing with your food from your fork, you headbutted your head to the beat as you also tapped your foot to it as well

It was great until
"This sucks!!"

You perked up and took out one ear phone as you turned your head to the sound to see it was Kate sitting with two other people who look kind of like her, kate seemed annoyed as she huffed

"I can't believe I got a C- in frazzing P.E!" Kate raged at the two people...Frazzing? Is that how she cusses
"Kate, calm down" the boy who looked about 19 told her

Kate snarled before bending her fork in half in her hand...woah! She must have great strength!
"How? I was positive that I was at least gonna get a B" she ranted on

You were about to turn back when you just saw the weirdest thing

Kate had a can of soda and...IS THAT FLOATING!!? Oh my god , that can is actually floating off the table in thin air!

You gasped but then covered your mouth
"Kate! Your *mumbles* are showing" the boy quickly whispered to the annoyed kate who had her eyes tightly closed and her head in her hands

"Huh?" Kate lifted get head and opened her eyes back to reality, then the can stopped and tell back onto the table, spilling over making the side come out and spill on Kate's shorts as she shot up
"Oh come on!" She whined

"What did I tell you?!" The boy scolded her as he rose up as well

Soon everyone in the cafeteria was staring at them in silence. One even dropped their food
"Now I gotta wipe this sticky stuff off me" kate stated as she turned around and sped-walked out of the cafeteria, aggressively pushing the doors open as she went our

Then everyone went back to their business but you...you kept your stare at the doors where kate has ran out of. That can was literally floating off the table! This made your heart beat fast. How did she do that? Is she magic? A wizard!?

First you heard her in your head and now she's lifting objects without touching them!

You figured that lunch was nearly over as you picked up your tray of food and dumped it in the bin that was next to the doors as you tried to not catch attention from others as you exited the cafeteria, getting ready for your next class as you walked to your locker

You were near the end of the hall, about to turn a corner when you heard a voice
"Ugh! Stupid me, I could have gotten caught! I really should practice my skills"...is that...kate?

You froze as you listened then you basically glued yourself to the corner as you stayed close to it
"I swear one more mistake and boom!-" Kate blabbered onto herself

Boom? What does she mean by that!? Is she gonna explode!?
"Kate?" You called as you emerged from the corner and stood in front of her

Kate let out a surprised squeak and jumped soon her face was red from embarrassment
"Y-y/n? What were you doing?!" She exclaimed at you

You froze under her intense stare
"I-uh i" you fumbled with your words as you desperately tried to find a excuse, one that didn't make kate break your spine
"I-i saw you run out of the cafeteria and I wanted to know if you were alright" you lied well, it was partly true

Kate blinked
"You...were worried about me?" She titled her head and blinked again "no one was worried about me before.." She added

You looked at kate, man, being the weird girl must be hard, you looked at her with a little bit of sympathy
"Yeah. I was worried, are you ok?" You asked

Kate huffed
"Yes. I am but you shouldn't have wasted your time to check on me" she told you as she looked at you

"Well I did. Deal with it" you shot back

Kate rolled her eyes
"Whatever" she crossed her arms and turned her head from you while pouting

Now you blinked. What is up with her?
"Are you sure you're ok? Your face is turning red" you asked

Kate's eyes widen as she started to feel her face
"No it's not!!!" She yelled before then running off down to hall

You were left speechless and with a blank expression, you blinked once more
"Heh still strange" you smiled to yourself as you continued your way when the bell rang
