Imogen POV
I was going on one of my daily walks, I often just walk up and down the same street to get my mind awake, but today I felt like going a different route. Different being knocked over by someone who looked like a fluffy cub who was supposed to be hibernating, not what I was expecting. And yes I like to be very clear with my metaphors, but seriously I thought like any other time I'll just get up say 'it's fine' and be on my way, but this guy looked really guilty so I decided to be nice. He was really sweet, after all you don't get to many down to earth people these days. We walked up the same road for a while, he kept on doing this thing and glancing at me until I looked back and then acting like he wasn't looking like a 12 year old. "You gotta stop doing that you know", I smiled and he shock his head, "sorry I guess it's just a bit awkward because-"
"I'm a stranger ?"
P.s I liked putting people on the spot, one of my things.
"Well yeah that, my names Bradley Simpson", he looked at me like I was an alien as if I was going to run away by the sound of someone's name, strange but I went along with it.
"Imogen, Imogen Chambers", he smirked and all of a sudden I could sense some relief from him, like someone just took the bricks that was holding him down off his back.
"Nice to meet you"
"What do you do ?"
"What ? "
"Your job ?"
He left me hanging for more than 5 seconds before answering ... "I'm a shop keeper, in one of the antique shops up the top of the road, you ?"
"I'm a self proclaimed writer, I publish books and sometimes they get some recognition, sometimes not so much, but I do it for me", I smiled, hoping his mind didn't jump to me not having a job at all.
"Do it for you, huh ?", his smile was bright and his mind was thinking away.
