Jorbyn | kitten

Jonah's pov

Adopting a kitten wasn't that hard to decided but not having expect it to be so hard to choose one. Being at the shelter as i wanted to save a kitten rather than buying one in a pet store or something. Going into the cat action and looking for the perfect one. Every cat being curled up to a ball in a corner.

Sighing quietly as i wanted to adopt all of them. Not wanting any of them to be here. Wanting them to have a good home. But knowing that they're all hopefully gonna get a good home one day.

deep in thoughts so i don't notice the white and brown kitten(photo at the top) carefully making it's way towards me. Only noticing when it starts playing with my shoelaces. Looking down at it as it continues to play with them. Crouching down a bit making it flinch away and hide in the corner again making my heart ache.

Sitting down as i read what it says on the sign that is beside the cage. My heart aching more as i read what has happened to it also reading that it's name is Corbyn. Looking at him in the corner again seeing that he's shaking.

"Hey bud, i'm not gonna hurt you" carefully setting my hand closer to the cage

Corbyn slowly coming closer making me smile softly. Sniffing my hand a bit as he is close enough to it making me smile more. Thinking about it for some minutes then deciding that it's him that i want to adopt

"Want to come with me home?" I ask him meowing in response. The meow almost sounding as a yes

"Be right back bud, i'm gonna go talk to someone so i can adopt you" standing up and going to the front desk

Talking to the worker at the desk and then filling in some pappers. Then going back to Corbyns cage with the  worker. The worker opening the cage and taking him out and handing him to me afterwards.

Feeling that he is a bit tense as i hold him. Saying goodbye to the worker after I pay. Already having stuff for him at home. Opening the door to my car and getting in as i set Corbyn down to in the car. Taking the seatbelt on and then driving to my house

Parking my car and lifting Corbyn up and getting out of the car. Going in my house and going to the livingroom to set Corbyn down.

"Welcome to your new home bud i have toys and other stuff for you to play with, oh and my name is Jonah" smiling softly as i get a meow in response

Corbyn's pov

Looking around courisly as Jonah gets up and sits on the couch. Slowly going around still scared to make any mistakes because of my other owner. Having been hit multiple times before, it only becoming more when my last owner found out I'm a hybrid.

And yes I am a hybrid. I have known since i was 5 that i was a hybrid. Having been kicked out of the house at a young age. Then my last owner found me in my cat form. Having taken me in but then when he got drunk hitting me.

Not having shifted since then. Scared of being hit again if people found out about me being a hybrid. Looking up at Jonah to see him smiling down at me. Meowing back at him. Running off somewhere to get away as i feel that i'm about to shift. That happening when I haven't shifted to my human form för a while.

Seeing a bathroom and running in their. Just in time as i shift. Shuddering slightly as i haven't been in my human form for a while. But freezing as i hear footsteps coming this way. Quickly trying to shift back. But that not working that quickly as i hear Jonahs footsteps stop. Making me look up, seeing him stand there in shock

Whimpering and hiding my face in my knees while looking up at him through teary eyes. Praying that he won't hit me. Not expecting him to crouch down and look at me. Seeing him slowly moving his hand towards me making me flinch harshly. Him stopping as he sees me flinch.

"I- wow" he says "you're beautiful" smiling slightly but then blushing as i realize that i was nearly naked, just a pair boxers on. Blushing more as i see Jonahs eyes travel my body.

Gulping as i look around. Trying not to cry as old memories comes back of my of last owner when I transformed for the first time. Ending up hiding my face in my knees while letting the first tears fall.

Feeling Jonahs hand on my shoulder making me tense up.

"Kitten, what's wrong?" He asks

Looking up at him. Being met by a concerned face looking back at me.

"M-memories.." I stutter out

Letting out a sob after. Immediately having Jonahs arms wrapped around me in a hug. Hiding my face in his hoodie while letting sobs out.

"It's gonna be alright, you're safe here"
