(Previously on part 4, Junior got into trouble with some ghost boos. They trapped him in a cage and he can't get out.)
The prince cried as he dug his head into his small and stubby knees. He was practically in the middle of nowhere, so there was no way out...
Back at Bowser's castle, the king himself was storming through the castle, pacing back and forward as his large feet stomped against the floor. "AAAAARRRGHHHHH!!! WHAT'S TAKING THEM SO LONG?!" He spoke to himself, only worrying more every second. It was almost afternoon, and Bowser didn't want this to take more than a day. Bowser stormed back to his throne and angrily sat down, picking up the frame of him, Junior, and Kamek once again.
"Don't worry, son... We'll find you soon." He gently tapped the frame with his claw as he stared at the picture with guilt and sadness. Now that he was alone in the castle, he had time to think. This caused him to realize even more that this practically was his fault. He was so busy with planning the next attack and capturing Peach, that he didn't even pay full attention to his son. He would be fine with him helping, but he was only a kid, and planning everything out may have seemed boring to the prince.
Kamek did a very good job of watching over him while the king was busy, and though he knew Junior wasn't a fond of him, deep down, he really was. But Kamek isn't his dad. He loves his dad so much, and he always wants to spend time with him, and Bowser tries to spoil him and give him everything because he's a bratty prince, but he never actually realized that all he wanted was to be with his dad, instead of be told to capture the princess. All of these thoughts made Bowser think so much more.
As for Kamek and the different groups of minions, they weren't having any luck. A group of goombas were looking all over the different places of the kingdom, and some groups even started to look outside of the kingdom. The Magikoopa anxiously flew around on his broom, all alone, calling out the prince's name. "Lord Junior! Master!"
No answer.
Kamek traveled to another place, calling out once again. "Young Master, Junior!"
No answer...
The Magikoopa's panic grew as the silence of the places began to grew. No one was there, everything was silent and empty. "I wonder if any of the other minions have found him.." Kamek then turned around and began flying in the other direction to find the other group of minions. "I'm sure they have.. The prince possibly couldn't have gone THAT far.. Could he..?" After awhile of mumbling under his breath, a couple groups of minions could be seen up ahead.
"Minions! Have you had any luck with finding the prince?" He called out to them, adjusting his glasses. The minions gave each other nervous glances before shaking their heads. "No, sir. No one in the search party has found him. And I mean no one."
"Seriously? Absolutely nobody, are you positive?!" Kamek hopped off of his broom and held it beside him. He surely had to be somewhere. "We're telling the truth! No group or minion has found him yet." The Magikoopa sighed deeply at the minions response. He then looked back at the minions, his voice sounding strict. "Keep looking. If you find any sign of him at all, immediately let me know." Kamek said before hopping back on his broom and flying away.
"It could take days to find him!" The minion mentioned to his team. "Maybe even months!" Another called out, and all of the goombas frowned with their fangs. "But we can't let our king down. He's the prince for mushroom's sake! We HAVE to find him, or we'll be turned into mushroom soup!" And another minion added on, trying to explain to them they they couldn't give up. "The guy's right. We can't let Lord Bowser down. Let's just keep looking!" The team nodded in agreement and they began searching in different areas.
Back near the edge of the dark forest, a boo was watching Junior, seeing him cry, feeling useless and tired. The boo signaled for the others to come here with his stubby ghost hand. "Look at this little wimp! He's crying!" He cackled, laughing at the prince. "Aww, so he's really not as scary as he says! His dad must be disappointed." They teased, gossiping to each other as Junior continued to cry. "I think we should leave him alone for now. There's no way for him to get out, and its getting late, so he'll probably be falling asleep anytime soon." Another boo mentioned as they spoke to one another.
The others shrugged and flew away into the darkness, leaving Junior all alone once again. It was growing dark, and the night started to appear. Junior had spent the entire last night running away, and he never even slept, so he was exhausted now. Nobody was around to help him, and the night only came to him faster. He looked up at the dark sky with the stars, wiping his tears away. "I know you'll find me, pops.. I'm sorry. I made a huge mistake.." Junior crawled up inside of the cage and closed his eyes.
The prince slowly started to fall asleep, the cold and dark night creeping over his spiked shell. He was too tired to dream of anything, so there were no nightmares for him this night. Only the cold wind and the bright stars.
