She was a respected, well loved and widely praised student at Hogwarts. Many feared her, rivalling closely with the amount that admired her. The masses did not find her infuriating like her younger brother; she held class that made boys and girls all over the school fall to her feet. The blonde hair, the icy blue eyes, the stance of power. She was infatuating to everyone who encountered her, catching eyes and attention without ever trying.

It was her duty to carry on their family bloodline, to ensure that magical blood purity would remain, even if she wished so badly things could be different. She was a Malfoy, and their family was forced to remain clean. They had no choice but to hate muggles and any association of them. Muggleborns and half-bloods were to be nowhere near them, just the same as blood-traitors and any others alike. Her father taught her so from the minute she could stand on two feet, and for many years she abided, knowing better than anyone it was easier to obey her father than defy him.

Of course, she knew this until one boy with ginger hair spun her entire world on its axis, making her reconsider every notion and decision she had ever made.
