Reiya yawned on her way to school. Yuno looked over to the bluenette as she walked lazily about. "God, I hate waking up for school. When can I make it big and start waking up later?" Yuno smiled at her. "Maybe if you actually signed up for local talent shows, an agent would whisk you away to stardom and cozy beds." She groaned at her friend's sarcastic answer. "Ugh, maybe Jotaro has the right idea about skipping school after all..."
The day went slowly by until it was time for gym class. Thankfully, Reiya and Yuno both had that class as well. It was volleyball day and participation was required. The class was split between two girl teams and two boy teams. "Oh man, I can actually get excited for this. I love volleyball day!" Reiya said as they were changing into their workout uniform. "I don't know, I hate sports that have balls flying everywhere. Hopefully I don't get hit with one." Yuno sighed to herself. 'Taura can't help me either, especially with fast balls because that would look suspicious too.'
The girls changed and headed out to the court. The guys were sitting on the bleachers, as it was ladies first. Teams were divided and discussed amongst themselves. "OK, I want to be the center. I can spike the ball really well. Any objections?" All of the girls shook their heads at the bluenette. "Cool. Who wants to help be the setter. I'll need at least two." Yuno nervously raised her hand, trying to support her friend. "Ah, perfect Yuno. But know you might have to save a ball or two. So try not to hesitate." she nodded, feeling the pressure of her words. Once they found another setter, a tall girl named Namiko, they were ready to start the match. Some of the boys whistled and jeered on the sidelines.
"Reiya-chan, do your best!"
"Reiya-swan, we're rooting for you!"
"Reiya-san, I know you can do it!"
The bluenette rubbed the back of her neck nervously and sighed. Yuno saw some of the girls glare at her friend. She felt bad. As outgoing as she could be, her friend didn't like much outside attention. Rather, she kept to herself for as long she'd known her. Just like herself. But other girls didn't see it that way. They thought all she did was steal the boys attention away. Just as the first whistle was about to blow, the gym doors opened.
A tall figure started walking through. As small gasps and coos filled the air, both Reiya and Yuno could tell who it was. Jotaro in all his delinquent glory. Some of the girls openly stared as he walked through the gymnasium. Some girls squealed his name so he would look towards him, but to no avail. They boys went silent as to not set off the infamous punk. But then he looked over to see familiar blue hair. He made eye contact with the bluenette and gave a single slight nod. Which was returned just as gently. He looked over to see Yuno as well. Which actually made him stop walking. 'Yunos here too. I wonder if she'll use her stand to help her play' he thought to himself. All the students watched in amazement as he walked across the court and sat opposite the boys side. A whole side to himself.
The girls did their best to stretch provocatively towards the brooding teen. (Even though they had stretched 5 minutes prior) Some even rolled up their shorts for extra leverage. Yuno just shook her head at the sight of it. While Reiya wanted to gag and gouge her eyes out with a spoon. She shook her head as well. 'It's so pitiful it's almost sad. Don't they know that's not going to work on him?' Which was slightly true, as he completely ignored them. Instead, he brought out a small notebook and started writing in it. She looked back at her team. "Alright guys! This match might be a little harder because of our 'special guest' in the audience" she used air quotes at the special guest part. "Look alive and stay on the ball!" She looked over to her friend. "You ready?" Yuno nodded slowly. "Yes, I am."
The whistle blew for the match to start. Reiya quickly took the lead with her aggressive playstyle and quick reactions. With support from her setter, Yuno, and the occasional spike from Namiko. But the other team was determined to not lose in front of their collective crush. They could barely hold on to the lead as more seemed to step up and play. Out of the corner of Yuno's eye, she could see Jotaro watching her and Reiya. He seemed mildly impressed at Reiya's athletic abilities and leadership skills. He could tell she was putting her all into the sport, as something she would do regularly. Not to just impress any boy that happened to watch.
