Chapter 27

I look at the big stack of papers again.

"Where did you get this from again?"

He laughed

" relax its better than doing a producers job and a writer's job combined. Just look at the work, read the work, and if it needs fixing, fix it. Thats all you have to do."

I nodded to him then he turned around and walked out the room to leave me to my work.

Right so just like editing but simpler. Just think like an English teacher, or maybe a computer teacher looking over her students work...

"Ummm, I was wondering if I could get my clothes before I start this??"

His eyes widened in realization
" OH CRAP yeah I totally forgot about that! I would call Kyle to bring them over though. That's much safer."

I nodded. Right, new that.

I went to the bedroom and grabbed my phone and dialed Kyle's number.

3 rings and he picks up.

"Hello this is kyle peaking?"

"Hey Kyle, its me can I have my clothes like right now?? Cause I'm still wearing yesterday's outfit..."

O hear a slight pause then he talled again.
" Right give me your address and I'll try my best to get your clothes along with toiletries."

I gave him the address and we hung up.

I told Eli that it will be an hour before he arrives with my clothes.

I took the first page and read it thoroughly. I mark a couple of spots where the language needed fixing and I was done with that page.

I looked at the clock,
That only took me 10 minutes.... Ok I got this.

I started with the next page, and the page after that, then the page after that and soon enough I did a total of 255 pages of proofreading in 6 hours...

Yeah of course I had a break in between but it was only a 10 minute break then I continued on.

As I set the stack on the desk next to a lamp I stood up and sighed.

He came in and looked at the stack of paper.

" You're done already??"

He made a scowling face and looked at the clock.

"Wow, that's timing."

He smiled at me

"Well when I know what I'm doing I can be fast." Smiling at him.

I looked at the clock and it was 3:15 pm.

I looled at him one last time,

"Is there anything else you want me to do??"

Right when I asked that question there was a knock at the door.

" Hold on one second."

He went to the door and I heard a familiar voice ring through the house.

Isn't that Kyle??

I walked down stairs to the living room and saw Kyle standing there with a pair of keys in his hand.

He looked at me with a smile

" Oh good your active."

I chuckled and shook my head.

" Let's see here Captain obvious, i've been out of bed for how long?"

Looking at Elijah to see if would answer.

He laughed

" She's been helping proof read some papers."

Kyle nodded.

" Well, I hate to break up the party but I came to take Clary away. I found her a cabin she stay in."

Kyle looked at me and held his keys up. I nodded.

" What about my clothes?"

"Already in the truck."

I nodded right.

"Well it was good nowing you Elijah, see ya whenever."

" later chick." Me and Kyle turned and went out the door.

As soon as the door closed and we were in his truck, he landed his lips on mine and we both crashed into the moment.

We pulled back and first thing he said was,

" I'm sorry, I just, I guess I'm in love with you."

I looked at him stunned.

" How would you even fall love with a girl you met for only 3 days...?"

He nodded "I know trust me, but when I left last night, it didn't feel right. I just kept thinking about you...and eventually I went searching for a cabin for us to live in."

"So...you love me, but I dont know you well, and how many hours of sleep did you get?"

" only about 4."

"And you're wide awake now..."

He nodded.

Okay then...

" So where is this 'cabin' your taking us too?"

He sighed, " It's in Minnesota."

My eyes widened " Are you serious?!"
That's like......a thousand miles away!

He chuckled, " Yes Sweetheart, I'm serious."

" So where exactly do you live??"

He smiled and looked at me as he put the truck in gear.

"I have 3 locations across the Eastern part of the U.S. one is in Montana, one is in Virginia, and the other one is in Minnesota."

"So you move all over the place?"

He shook his head. We turned on to the main road and drove.

" I might from place to place at times, but I hardly move from a spot I'm at no less than a year. If I have emergency, I'll move, if I have a family reunion, I'll move. But if its anything other than that, I dont really move until I'm told to."

I looked at him

" So are you on the run from somthing or do you have a bussiness or just move because you can?"

" When I move it's basically for business but sometimes I have other places I need to be that just call me cause I know something's up."

I nodded.

So I might not see him a lot...hmm
