Able stared at the child he had named Iris coloring happily and babbling away, she was three now and while Able had struggled to learn how to parent, he loved his Iris dearly finding food wasn't really a problem he knew most SCP's didn't need human food so he would just raid homes for whatever wasn't expired. No, the most challenging thing he found was keeping Iris hidden, he knew human children were active and loud but Iris operated on a whole new level of loud and no matter how many times he tried to tell her to stop or come back he had to shout. A sudden voice brought him back to reality
"Drew you!" Iris announced happily, Able smiled at her and carefully took the drawing he hung it up like the ten others. Iris beamed happily and started babbling to Able. Able smiled and for the first time in months he felt happy, that night he was dragged back into the reason he hadn't felt happy for a long time."CAIN! CAIN! LOOK AT THE FLUFFY SHEEP!" Young Able announced happily as he watched the sheep a smile on his young face, a sudden shadow alerted him, he turned to see Cain rock held high. "Ca—" Suddenly everything went dark.
Able bolted upright, he was panting heavily, he looked over at sleeping Iris and smiled and laid back down.
Cain was angry at Able for taking all his parents' attention, Cain picked up a rock a smile spread across his face, he walked over and just as Able turned around. -WHAM- Cain dropped the rock horrified when Able dropped a weird red substance splattered the rock and his brother's skull, his parents' voices sounded distant as they ran over his mother screaming about her baby being dead. He felt horrible watching his mother cradle her dead son.
Cain jolted awake, he didn't remember falling asleep or whoever was in his dream. The name "Able" sounded familiar but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. 'Oh well it can't be that important.' He reasoned as he slowly drifted off to sleep.
