I woke up to a slow beating and the warm rise and fall of a chest? My whole body jerked to an almost up right position. My eyes shaned the room. I looked behind me and saw Steve sleeping. All the memories of last night came back to me like a slap in the face. I quickly got out of Steve's embrace. Once I fully gotten off the floor I opened the door and tip toe through it. I made my way to the shower.
When I came back Steve wasn't in the room. I sighed in relief. I dug through many of my drawers to find the just right outfit. Green and yellow T-shirt with black leggings. I dragged myself to the dining room. I was overwhelmed with the smell of home cooked breakfast? I sat down in my seat. Seeing all types. Steve burst through the door. Breathing heavily.
"Good morning Holo... Hope your hungry." He smiled as he sat down across from me.
"where's my father? Is he not coming to breakfast?" I started applying food upon my plate.
"Oh, he had to go out of state." Steve smiled with anxiety in his face.
What man who builds weapons need to go out of state. I thought to myself. I hated the weekend. Staying in the tower all day with Steve. When I Finnished my breakfast I got up from the table. I made my way back to my room. I walked in and inhaled the scent of banana nut muffins. I exhaled slowly as I walked to my bed.
"God, Steve! Got the whole tower smelling like breakfast."
I started to put everything back, when I found a red book with a black leather spine. It didn't have a title or any writing upon the cover. I opened the book to see a small paragraph stating how to use the book. It said that magic would reveal the words. Out of no where Steve busted through the door panting.
"Hey Holo!" I jumped back. Not expecting Steve.
"I need you to stay in the tower, I have to go give a file to your father. So I called Banner to watch you. Please stay in the tower. " I held the book behind my back.
"Yes Steve, I'll stay inside." I nodded my head.
"Thank you." He left out the door way.
I watch Steve leave the tower from the living room. I walked back to my room and sat on the bed staring at the book. It was 8:47 when Mr. Banner arrived at the Tower. He came in to my room to make himself known. Then left to go read.
When a hour past I walked out to the kitchen. Digging through the "take out" drawer.
"I want this" I walked to the living room and held a Chinese takeout menu in Mr. Banner's face.
"Huh...Oh yeah...Sure." He took the menu and started walking to the house phone on a end table.
I walked back to my room and got ready to sneak out. I made a quick dash to my father's office. I found the emergency elevator.
Outside, I wasted no time. I hurried to that park. 10:29 was the time when I got there. I was panting from all the running I did. When I caught my breath I went straight to long from that Loki guy. Turning around I bumped right in to him.
"Oh my dear, please except my deepest apologies." I feel too the ground.
"No no, it's my fault." I grabbed the out reached hand.
My eyes slowly scanned the man. From his feet all the way up.
"it's you. You're the guy I'm looking for." I quickly scramble to my feet.
"Oh, so all that running around you were doing was to look for me?" He giggled to himself.
"I need you to tell me what you are and what this mean." I grabbed the red book out of my bag.
"what a curious girl you are." Again he laughed too himself.
"I'm the rightful king of Asgard. I am the god you people believed never existed." I couldn't tell if he was trying to be funny or was being serious.
"What about this book? "
I shaked the book seriously.
"That book will reveal all the secrets and lies. It will show you who you truly are." He gently lifted my chin so I was looking up at him.
"This isn't real... What your saying is a lie. "
"My dear, I only speak the truth. " He bent down and kissed me on the forehead.
"what, what are you... "
I blushed. Then I suddenly jumped when I heard rushaling from a bush behind me.
"please excuse me, I must be going." He turned.
"Wait, I have more question! "
I grabbed a piece of his clothing.
"When ever you need me just call my name 3 times. " Once he said that he disappeared from my grasp.
I couldn't believe my eyes. He vanish out of thin air. It's not possible. I was knocked out of state of shock when 2 large arms wrapped me in a tight hug.
"Holo, please don't ever leave the tower. You don't know how dangerous it is. "
"I'm sorry, Mr. Banner. I just wanted to see New York."
Banner and I made our way back to the tower. I sat in the living room. Eating the Chinese food as I watched TV. When I Finnished I aimlessly walked to my room. Sitting on the bed in silence. Remembering the book I quickly dug for it. I started at the first page. I stare at it for so long my eyes started to cross. Reconcentrating, I stared imagining words appearing. I stayed like that for 10 minutes.
"Ha... Of course, magic isn't real... I can't believe I would even try. " I tossed the book over. Letting it flip to some random page. I sighed as I concentrated on the book. Holding out my hands towards the book. I closed my eyes. Breathing in and out. I son felt warmth upon my hands. I open one of my eyes to see the plam of my hands glowing green. Both of my eyes were wide open.
