Hellfire spreads within the facility as Freeman rush through the corridor,loading his shotgun with shells to prepare for the worst that he is about to come.he has heard from the science team that the government has betrayed them and tried to eliminate his friends but he simply won't allow that,ready to fight back against those cleaning units bastard that is viewed as saviour by his friends.

Dr. Freeman stop by an intersection,one leading to a locked and heavily sealed door and one leads to a dark and grim hallway.the door seems to be impossible to unlock as he need some explosives to do it...which he doesn't have because he wasted them on those HECUs soldiers.it leave him with no other choice than to enter the dark and grim looking hallway, quickly turning on his flashlight on the chestplate of his HEV suit.

As he traverse deeper and deeper,making the hallway seemingly endless and made of a void,he start to get nervous.he feel there's an unwanted presence watching over him,ready to strike him down with a single deadly blow that can end his life.that thing could be a bullsquid,vortigaunts, Gargantuar or sneaky Black Ops unit but....it is something else instead.he hears a laugh in front of him,echoing and bouncing against the void wall.the doctor stop on his foot and raise his shotgun up,sensing danger coming soon.he decide it will be better to wait for them to come over as he is more than armed to the teeth.however,whatever produced that laughs simply stopped.....until he hear a whisper and a cough...

"Gordon...
...hes...here
He know...."

The man turns around quickly to see Barney,an old friend of his and a fellow security unit in the facility,crawling on the ground with the lower part of his body gone.his intestine is showing,still functioning normal with his face gone,displaying his skull with his mouth moving and coughing.

"Ru..n..."

His friend collapse, presumably dead and Gordon try to help him.but he feel a strong force coming up from his back,a force that he is familiar with.he thought looking at his back might end his life but he will let it happen since..he just lost his best bud.maybe he can pick up a fight...against him.
The doctor look at his back without no hesitation and shocked to see...a tall and red figure covered in shadow with its yellow toothy smile while emitting radio white noises around him.they simply laugh and a cast of shadow approach him

"Good night Mr Freeman...."

*SWISH!*

Gordon wake up in a cold sweat,screaming loudly as he covers his face in fear.he realized that it is only a dream that felt...way too real and look at him to make sure that he is fine.theres no blood on him,no psychical harm or injuries on his skin.he is.....okay,for now.
Freeman notice that he has slept with his HEV suit that is typically uncomfortable and can cause itchiness since he can scratch them.but after the pain and horror of the worst side of mankind,he feel like he doesn't need one...
The man sits up on the edge of the bed,looking at the window that is showing him the view of the world he will call "his eternal screaming chamber" or...Hell in other word.still,it is fitting considering it is one of worst realm mankind has ever known...well, known.not visited.

At least he is under good care of a sweet demoness who is genuine about her objective of rehabilitating demons.sure it sounds ridiculous but you could say that to every inventors and innovative scientists back then who everyone thought its crazy and stupid...like Tesla..heh(Tesla is awesome).it reminds him to how messed up his mind is that he thought its beyond broken.he is aware that he is losing touch with reality, especially after having a conversation with an entity that called G-man that can break the reality but he swear that he is going crazy sooner or later.
