What happened during another week in hell...?
You see,Freeman was nothing but a guest in the hotel.yeah,he could go out and join any villain association like the infamous Black Hat or Professor Time incorporated.but he hates that and decided to ask Charlie if anyone need help in the hotel.she said he could help angel with his.....job,helps Baxter with his lab experiment and invention or participate in a turf war...which is next year.he wasn't going to spend a year in hell or be a sex toy for angel,so he picked the second offers and helped Baxter.at first it was awkward because these two were different,Freeman was a employer of black Mesa who studied in black mesa which facility known to be very advanced and invented many types of prototype in any imaginable ways.baxter was otherwise,he was an introvert and an anti social who didn't talk and interact with anyone except Charlie.she allowed him to do whatever he want in the hotel,but he had to be quiet and prevent or avoid doing any catastrophic incident.

Couple of days,they didn't said anything until Freeman spoke first.he asked him who is him when he was alive and what did he do that brings him down here.baxter hesitated to respond but eventually said something,few couple of words that were enough to explain it.the next day,Baxter opened his mouth this time.he asked Freeman what is it like to be working in Black Mesa,what is like to be a high ranked scientist and able to study something that is completely mind-blowing and astonishing.he could only response with "It's hell,but surely a good one".

Snap into the present,Baxter is talking with charlie while Freeman is building something inside Baxter lab.he seems to be working on a strange blaster gun,similar to the gravity gun but in a different shape and color.the design look pretty similar to the portal gun made by the Aperture Laboratory,the rival team of Black Mesa.the Laboratory is now shut down and not operational due to a rogue robot who followed their own instinct.anyway,he finish attaching the last part for the portal gun and laugh

"It's worth it,SO WORTH IT!!"

Freeman said,glee in a cheerful way and excited as hell to test it.he calls Baxter to come over and show him the Portal Gun

"This is one of our rival company design,do not worry about copyright law because they got no money to spend on the material and go bankrupt year later."

Baxter look at the Portal Gun and goes "Wooooah~!" Because how well it look.but the question is,does it work...?
Freeman explains to him how it work,what you have to avoid and what you need to do to operate it.baxter aims the Portal Gun at the wall and shoot a portal,a casual blue portal.then he push the second trigger to shoot out another portal next to the blue one.they can see each other from the portal like it is a mirror.

"This is awesome,Dr Freeman.youre indeed smartest man I've ever met...except Pentious.hes good but in steam technology or something like that"

They laughs and put the portal gun on the table before stepping out from the room.

Adrian Pov

The young grunt wonder around in the hotel,nothing here is particularly interesting.just a picture of the total family of Charlie,few.....condoms and a radio demon having a conversation with a cat in the bar section.he hope for any action,something that can spice up the day.then,his wish come true.....

"FREEMAN,ADRIAN.HIDE,NOW!!!"

Charlie rush to him,panicking and looks like she has seen shit.adrian calms her down,rubbing her shoulder and massaging it.it work,always.she enjoys,moaning.
