After the storm

Sara said, took a bite from the cake I baked. "Anna, your cooking skills has improved a lot. Lucy, don't eat too much. You must be careful. Or the marriage".

"Can you stop using the word marriage. I am nervous". Lucy said.

Lisa dropped a visit. "Anna, did Sandra called? When will she be coming".

Sandra couldn't leave Sam alone, he insisted her to attend the marriage though. Steve was a little angry and refused to talk with her.

"Not sure, she is confused". I replied.

Lisa sat on the couch and sighed. "You are having a good time here. I am tired. Steve's school friends came now, we have to make some snacks for them. You guys could help me".

"I am the bride, how could you tell me to cook today?" Lucy smiled.

"Not you. Anna, come with me. Steve called you". Lisa turned to me.

"No, he will make me talk with some other boys".

"He thinks you will be left alone. When all of us leave here". Lucy said.

"Yes and one of them is really cute, his name is Dan or something". Lisa said.

"So what? Call me when he leaves". I said.

"Steve is determined, and I am helpless. Sara, come with me."

"After breakfast". Sara said.

"Anna you must come. Sara is horrible in kitchen". Lisa started to leave.

"I won't come Lisa". I said.

"You must, or it will be difficult for me". 

"I don't think so. Kevin is still there, right?". Sara asked. Lisa looked back, smiled and left.

Lisa joined us for breakfast. Sandra called, she will come and attend the wedding without Sam. Me and Sara went Lisa's home and helped them with the cleaning, while we were away Lucy tried her wedding dress.

After lunch, four of us joined in our garden, discussing old things. Somehow Abram's topic came in. Me and Sara never talked about him after that day.

"I know who he is". Sara said proudly.

"What? You told her that?" Lisa was surprised.

"No, she just, no Ryan saw him". I replied.

"How? He came to school?" Lucy asked.

"No". I answered.

"It is the only thing that you have hidden from me. And it is long back. I don't think your promise still stays". Lisa said.

I was silent Sara was excited to talk and used the opportunity. "Ryan saw him, talking with Anna after the wedding"

"What, which wedding?" Lisa asked.

"Talk slowly mom could hear you". I scolded her.

"Shall I tell them Anna, who he is?" Sara asked.

"It is Sam's brother". I said.

"Sam has a brother?" Lucy was surprised.

"Where was he?"  Lisa asked.

"You guys should read the newspaper. He is managing all their business, always on the headings, this boy". Sara said.

"You know him, how is he?" Lisa asked.

"Very good-looking and intelligent. Perfect for Anna". She replied.

"Listen guys, we have agreed not to talk about this". I said.

"We have no idea, he was Sam's brother". Lisa said.
