Day 2 -
Abdul's POV:
After the anthem showing the dead guests, our group looks at each other.
"I have a question," Kam asks. He looks at Brooke and Luvs. "Why did you recruit so many of us. You do realize we have to kill each other right?"
"Yes," Brooke says. "But we need to stop the rebellion. I know those victors will try to stop us. I'll kill anybody that gets in our way."
Salad whispers to me, "We have to go. She's gonna kill us."
"I'm gonna go find food," I say. "Tris, Kam, and Salad come with me."
The four walk off and Trisha follows them.
"We have to go," Salad says. "Brooke didn't bring us here to help her. Yes I believe she wants to stop the rebellion and thats part of the reason but think about it. We are all the strongest tributes."
"She wants to round us all up and kill us when we're not expecting it," Tris says.
"Exactly," Salad agrees. "We have to go. We will have less numbers but we won't have to worry about being betrayed by her group."
The five careers run to a new part of the arena.
Brooke's POV:
We wait for the rest of the careers to return and hours go by, no canons boomed though.
"They ditched us I bet," Krista says. "They're afraid."
"Then we'll hunt them down ourselves," Luvs says.
Hoodie's POV:
Harry, Mergle, Sniffer, and I realize we need more weapons and food.
"We need to go back to the cornucopia," Sniffer says. "It's dangerous but if we don't we will die."
"We have four of us," Harry says. "We should be fine."
All of the sudden I hear a whizz go by my ear and an arrow lodges into Harry's chest. Canon.
I grab my bow and spin around, sending my own arrow back at them. It lands itself into Krista's head, and she falls to the ground with another canon.
A knife is thrown into my leg by Luvs.
Sniffer throws an axe at the careers and even though it doesn't land it's mark, it scares them back just enough that we have time to run.
Sniffer and Mergle help me up and we dart towards a cornucopia. We see a little cave made of chocolate rocks so we hide from the careers.
Luvs, Brooke, and Draggini run by, but the District 1, 5, and 6 never do. What happened to the rest of them?
We stay inside the cave until night, and the anthem lights up the sky. Harry and Krista's faces can be seen. Five are dead in the arena now...
