The Darkness

                            Sophie (POV)

I have no idea how much time passed, how long I have so far been in this state. I couldn't even figure out who I was. What was my name again?

I struggled to figure out what was going on. I could tell I was close, I can feel it. But then, my strength started to fade, I couldn't fight off the darkness that was dragging me down, so I had no choice but to let it pull me in.

But then, I felt a tingle, a warm, sweet tingle. I couldn't tell what it was but it brought me out of the darkness, back to reality. Until I realized something, I am Sophie Foster.

Right then, I woke up to soft, warm, tender lips pressed against mine. Was that the tingle I felt?

I looked up to see a boy with ice blue eyes. Keefe. I somehow wanted to keep going but then Keefe realized I woke up and stumbled back. Letting me see the rest of my friends, Dex, Marella, Tam, Linh, Biana, Fitz, and Elwin.

All of them in shock and staring at me with stunned features. Like I just woke from the dead. Wait, had I? "Whathappened-" Elwin cut me off by running towards me as he said "Shhhh, don't talk. You need to rest. Especially because of the state you are in right now." I nodded, not wanting to use my voice again, I was so drained.

Right then I realized that I forgot about Keefe, who was just standing there, emotionless. Once he glanced my way he put on a smile that looked forceful.

Everyone noticed us as Elwin said "I think we will give you two space, I will come back in a little to give you more fade fuel."

Right after Elwin said that he motioned everyone else to follow him out the door as everyone groaned.

"How come Keefe gets to stay with Sophie and not us?" Fitz argued, as Elwin gave him a look. Finally Fitz reluctantly followed everyone else out leaving me and Keefe all alone. After a moment of silence, Keefe slowly walked towards me, as my heart went into hummingbird mode.

"What happened?" He sighed. "Don't worry about it, at least you're okay." I smiled sadly as I said "I heard what you said," He looked down as his face heated up and mumbled "I don't even know what you are talking about." 

I look down also trying to hide my blushing face. "Well you said-" Keefe cut me off and said "Can we not talk about this today Sophie? You really need to rest and I gotta go......do something, okay?"

Right when I started to nod, I stopped and realized what he just said. "Did you just call me... Sophie?" I asked. He flashed a sad and sheepish smile as he walked away.
