Special Night

      The night of the awards show arrived quicker than the group expected. All four girls were feeling a mix of emotions ranging from excited to scared. Media outlets are buzzing looking for the latest gossip and dirt on any idols they can. The red carpet is packed with different idols and other big name celebrities all dressed up in the latest fashion. Hwasa was dressed in a simple but elegant long flowing white gown with a large diamond necklace. Wheein decided on a dark blue dress that stopped just past her knee wearing her hair partly up with some black high heels. Yongsun chose to wear a short strapless black dress that stopped mid thigh with her hair curled while Moonbyul wore her favorite black suit and tie to match her.

Reporters were going crazy over Mamamoo. They couldn't get over how beautiful the girls were and wondered where their dates were. "We are each other's dates. We are a group and we stick together like a family. We don't need anyone else." Hwasa proudly tells the reporters earning a nod from her fellow group mates. "Solar where is Eric tonight? We heard he's presenting and we all know you guys are Korea's it couple." A reporter quickly adds in before the girls move on. "I'm not sure where he is. But I'm exactly where I need to be with my girls. As for Eric and I there's nothing to talk about we are just friends." Solar tells them matter of factly before their manager ushers them into the theatre.

The awards show begins smoothly with no appearance from Eric so far. The girls enjoy their night up until the category they are up for is announced to be next. Panic sets in for Solar and she begins to breathe rapidly and fidget with the blanket they give the female artist to stay covered. "Hey I'm right here talk to me. Your safe I promise." Moonbyul whispers in her ear gently rubbing her girlfriends arms to calm her down. "I'm just scared. I know he can't do anything to drastic tonight but still being that close to him terrifies me. Please don't let go of me if we are called up." Solar looks into her girlfriends eyes saying how she honestly feels. Moonbyul hugs her reassuring the older woman. "And now for tonight's next category this next presenter is one of kpops it boys and star of we got married please welcome Eric Nam!" The girls hear over the loud speakers. Hwasa and Wheein immediately turn to Solar waiting for her reaction. She sits rigid tightly gripping her blanket anxious of what she know will come next. "Now for out next category you can't tell me all the women up for this aren't beautiful. I mean I did marry one of them! Anyways here are the nominees for Best female group. Red Velvet...Itzy...G-Idle...and Mamamoo" Eric says trying win the crowd over. "Your winner is...Mamamoo!" The crowd erupts in applause. Fans in the crowd cheer for the girls as they make their way to the stage. Before they get to the stage three bodyguards greet the group and escort them safely towards Eric to receive the award. Eric knows he can't get near Solar so he smiles tightly and lowly says "Congrats but your still mine Kim Yongsun." A bodyguard immediately puts himself between Eric and Solar as she gives her thank you speech with the rest of the girls thanking their fans and family the most.

       After being escorted off stage Solar takes off leaving the other three behind. "Go ahead and sit down I'll go find her."Moonbyul says to Wheein and Hwasa as she takes a bodyguard with her to find Solar. After 10 minutes of searching they find the leader in a women's bathroom at the back of the venue. She's sitting in the floor clearly in the middle of a panic attack. "Yong it's me. I'm so sorry I should've told our manager to let you stay home. This was too much for you." Moonbyul carefully approaches Solar to not scare her more and puts her arms around the girl apologizing for putting her in such a stressful situation. After wiping her tears "No it's not your fault I wanted to do this. I couldn't disappoint our fans by not showing. I'll be okay we still have to perform just give me a second okay." Solar puts her hand on Moonbyul's cheek to reassure her girlfriend she is okay before getting up and cleaning herself up in the sink. After finding and calming Solar down the girls make their way to the dressing room where the prepare for their performance of Gogobebe and Egotistic. An assistant comes in just before the girls leave for the stage handing Solar flowers stating they are from her fiancee. Upon reading the card Solar finds out Eric sent her the flowers and she disposes of them immediately and heads to the stage. Mamamoo performs flawlessly and their fans along with the rest of the theatre love the performance. The girls change and head to their respective homes with no more disturbances from Eric or the press.
