The Night the World Changed

 After a month of hard work and preparations today was the day of Mamamoo's comeback concert. The girls gathered at a local cafe for breakfast before making their way to the arena for rehearsals and to get into wardrobe and make up. "Are you guys nervous? It's been awhile since we've seen our moo moos." Wheein asks as she eats an apple and walks into the wardrobe room. "I am a little bit but only because I want them to have fun and I want to put on the best show we can." Solar replied as she finished changing into what would be their first outfit of the night. The girls were going to open with Mr. Ambiguous, Piano Man, and Decalcomanie so they chose to wear a black striped suit style outfit that varied between each girl. Solar's outfit was a striped vest and pants with a fedora hat. Moonbyul wore the full striped suit but instead of a vest it was a grey button up shirt and the striped suit jacket and pants. Wheein wore short back shorts and a striped jacket with only a sports bra underneath along with a fedora similar to Solar's but hers was a dark grey color. Finally Hwasa wore a black bathing suit style outfit with long sleeves. All the girls had their hair down. Solar and Hwasa opted to have their hair wavy while Wheein and Moonbyul had straight hair. The girls finished in wardrobe and make up and now waited to be introduced and start the show.

The concert kicked off with a roar of applause from the fans. Everyone was out of their seats and it was a sea of Moobong lightsticks dancing along to the music. All four girls were overjoyed to be preforming on stage again and being able to interact with their fans. After they performed Yes I Am they took a 15 minute intermission to give themselves and fans a break to rehydrate and go to the bathroom. During rehearsals they played a very intense game of rock,paper, scissors to decide the order of their solos. Wheein won all the rounds and chose which order they went in. She decided to have Hwasa go first followed by Moonbyul, then her, and finally Solar. As Hwasa performed her songs Twit and a solo version of Don't the other girls changed into their solo costumes. 

Wheein pulled Moonbyul aside after they both had changed. " Are you all set for tonight? I've already sent security to go grab her parents to bring on stage." Wheein told her. "Yea I'm all set the ring is with her mom and dad. They will give it to me on stage when I propose." "Good Luck! She'll say yes I promise." Wheein gave Moonbyul a hug before one of the stage hands called for Moonbyul to make her way under the stage and onto the lift. Moonbyul jumped out from the lift on the floor and went right into her song Selfish before moving onto Moon Movie which was an unreleased song at the time. The crowd went wild at the new song and she exited the stage out of breath sprinting to change again into her favorite Thom Browne suit. 

Solar was still oblivious to Moonbyul's special plans that evening as well as not knowing her parents were there. While Wheein was on stage performing her song Easy and doing a dance cover to Be Like Me by Lil Pump the other girls sat backstage making small talk until Solar was pulled away to the stage. "Quick Byul we have to get to the stage her parents are already waiting for you up there!" Hwasa and Wheein pulled the nervous rapper through the halls towards the side of the stage so they could watch Solar perform her song Hello and a cover of Fire by BTS. As soon as she ended the three other girls entered the stage while the dancers walked to the back of the stage and sat on the set of stairs that were placed back there. Solar was confused to see all three members back on stage so quickly. 

"What's going on you three?" Solar asked. She believed they would be backstage getting ready to perform 1cm Taller Than You. "Well, before we continue tonight I just had a few things to say. Tonight is a special night because its the first night we are back and in front of our Moo moos. It's also special for another reason." Moonbyul led Solar to a chair that was placed on stage when Solar wasn't looking and waved to someone just off stage. At that time both Mr. and Mrs. Kim shyly entered onto the stage and fans started cheering for them. Solar looked at all three of them with a confused and shocked face as her parents gave her a hug and then stood by the other members giving them each a hug. "I know you and everyone else are very confused right now but Kim Yongsun that is something I never felt with you. I knew the moment I met you I fell in love with you. I brought your parents here to help me out with this next part." Both her parents approached Moonbyul and her mother gave the ring box to her. Solar began tearing up as she watched the interaction and then Moonbyul turning towards her and getting down on one knee. "Kim Yongsun, you make me the happiest woman in the world and if you'll let me I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?" Moonbyul looked up into her lovers eyes as she opened the ring box. Solar began crying and nodding her head. Wheein brought a mic over to her that she had set down earlier. "You greasy hamster! Of course I'll marry you!" Solar jumped into Moonbyul's arms after the ring was placed on her finger. Wheein and Hwasa along with Solar's parents ran to the newly engaged couple and gave them a group hug as cheers erupted throughout the arena.

After the surprise proposal Mr. and Mrs. Kim returned to their seats to watch the girls perform the rest of their show. The second half of the show the girls decided to play around more on stage and with the fans. Each of them were allowed to pull one fan on stage for a game which turned into a dance off between all of them. The concert was a huge success and the girls promised their fans that new music was in the works as well as another possible concert. They exited the stage and made their way to their dressing room. Upon entering their dressing room and changing into more comfortable clothes Solar received a phone call from an unknown number. She excused herself for a few minutes before returning with a wide eyed look on her face. "Yong? What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost or something." Wheein asked the leader. "Ghost?! Where?" Hyejin perked up from her spot on the couch panicking. "No ghost Hyejin, it was Eric he said he wants to talk and apologize for his actions. He wants to talk alone tomorrow night over dinner." Solar reassured the maknae of the group after Moonbyul's ghost prank awhile back that scared Hyejin to death. "No, you can't go Yong. I don't trust him. Let me go with you at least." Moonbyul said quickly as she entered the room from changing. "Byul he sounded sincere this time like he's actually sorry. I'll trust him on this. I'm a big girl I'll be okay." Solar reached up to Moonbyul's cheek reassuring her fiancé. "Okay, fine but please let me pick you up from the restaurant after at least." Moonbyul wrapped her arms around Solar kissing her head. The group finished at the arena and headed to their respective homes to fall asleep with their loved ones in their arms.
