I fought valiantly against the Outriders, but now Wanda was helping us fight against the new enemy, some type of mechanical slicer wheel called Threshers. We fought constantly, not stopping for anything. But before we could do anything about the fact that Vision was now completely unguarded, we heard Sam's voice over the earpieces.

'Guys, we got a Vision situation here!' He was soon grounded by an Outrider and I looked up to see Vision tackling one of the leaders of the Outriders, the two falling out of the window of the lab.

'Somebody get to Vision!' I yelled.

'I got him!' Banner, using the thrusters of the Hulkbuster, flew off after Vision and the creature.

'On my way,' Wanda spoke, but just then she was hit with one of the creatures, one of the leaders, Proxima Midnight. The fell creature landed beside her and spoke.

'He'll die alone. As will you.'

'She's not alone,' Natasha said defiantly. Proxima turned to see Okoye, Natasha and myself bracing for the fight. Letting out a war cry, Proxima charged towards us. I heard another yell from Banner over the earpieces.

'Guys! Vision needs backup now!' As the three-woman fight against Proxima Midnight was getting desperate, I and Wanda used our powers to propel the creature up and trample her with the Threshers. I sat back, as did Wanda, panting for breath. I wiped my nose, seeing blood. My powers were almost spent.

'That was really gross,' I heard Natasha say and chuckled.

At the foot of a mountain, the creature Corvus Glaive and Vision fought. Using his spear, he thrust it into the chest of the synthetic android.

'I thought you were formidable, machine,' Glaive taunted. 'But you're dying like any man.' Withdrawing the spear, Vision collapsed. But help was on the way. Steve swung in, with my assistance by his side and we fought Corvus together.

'Get outta here!' I shouted to the injured Vision.

'Go!' Steve yelled. The alien pinned Steve to the ground, his hand at his throat. I kicked Corvus, but not before he backhanded me. I landed against a tree, struggling to keep my consciousness and still fight. I rose, but then I saw Vision stab Corvus Glaive from behind, raising him up in the air. Throwing him aside, he faltered. I ran over with Steve and Steve helped him.

'I thought I told you to go.'

'We don't trade lives, Captain,' he said softly, a whisper of a smile on his face.

'Lehnsherr, you're bleeding,' Steve said, gesturing to my nose. 'Is it your powers?'

'Yes.'

'You should-'

'I can't sit out. Not now.' I went to walk, but I stumbled and landed in Steve's arms.

'Easy!' I gritted my teeth.

'My... back...' I ground out. I stood with effort, gritting my teeth at the pain.

'You have to-' Steve started again, but I cut him off.

'If something happens to me, then I will die a death worthy of an Avenger. We'll be good.' I placed my hand comfortingly over my pregnant stomach. He smiled at me, but only briefly.

On Titan, the remaining Guardians and Avengers fought relentlessly, stopping for nothing. During one point in the fight, Thanos grabbed Doctor Strange around the throat.

'You're full of tricks, wizard,' he ground out in anger. He reached for the Eye of Agamotto, in which was embedded the Time Stone.

'No!' Strange yelled. He snapped the eye off.

'Yet you never once used your greatest weapon.' He crushed it, finding nothing. 'A fake.' Throwing Doctor Strange, the sorcerer hit some rocks, sinking into unconsciousness. Suddenly, one of Stark's devices thrust into the palm of the Infinity Gauntlet, distracting Thanos briefly.

'You throw another moon at me, and I'm gonna lose it,' Tony growled.

'Stark.'

'You know me?' Tony asked.

'I do. You're not the only one cursed with knowledge.'

'My only curse is you,' Tony gritted out, then began to fight the titan. Embedding one of his legs into the ground, he threw a strong punch, but there was barely any reaction from the Titan. He reached a hand up and rubbed the sticky substance that came out between his purple fingers. 'All that for a drop of blood.' The two continued to trade blows constantly. In a last-ditch attempt, Tony transformed one of his gauntlets into a short sword, which was caught by Thanos, broken off, and stabbed into his side. He groaned. Moving Tony over to a rock platform, he sat, still groaning in pain.

'You have my respect, Stark. When I'm done, half of humanity will still be alive. I hope they remember you,' he said, touching Stark's head with his giant hand. Then, he turned the Infinity Stones on him. Before he was about to destroy Stark, Strange, who had woken up, shouted.

'Stop!' Thanos turned. 'Spare his life and I will give you the stone.'

'No tricks.' Slowly shaking his head, Strange procured the Time Stone.

'Don't...' Tony began, but he was too late. Letting it float above his head, he let Thanos take it in his. He placed it in the gauntlet, wincing from the additional power that flowed through him now.

'One to go.' Peter Quill began to attack the titan by surprise, blasting him with his blasters, but he didn't respond, simply activating the Space Stone and fled the planet of Titan, heading for his last mission, Wakanda. To retrieve the Mind Stone from Vision and complete his ultimate goal... wiping out half of the universe. They had lost.

'Where is he?' Quill said, retracting his helmet. 'Did we just lose?' His breath dropped to a whisper. Tony began to close the wound as best as he could, still distracted by the pain. Tony looked up at Doctor Strange, sad and yet angry.

'Why would you do that?' Doctor Strange looked at him with a look of mild compassion, almost as if to say that he couldn't bear to see Tony die before his eyes. Instead, he simply sighed and spoke five words.

'We're in the endgame now.'
