After the dance, Manik and I were standing in a corner talking about random stuff. He had a glass of wine in his hand while I had fruit punch.

A while later I saw Jasp approaching us. I didn't want to face him yet but luck was not on my side today I guess.

"Hey Mr Malhotra how are you?" He asked acknowledging Manik.

"All good. What about you Mr Bauer?" Manik smiled at him forwarding his hand for handshake.

"Oh I am having fun btw call me Jasper please." He said encircling his arm around his wife's waist, who gave me a dazzling smile. She seemed so sweet. Obviously its Jasper's wife we're talking about.

"Only if you call me Manik. Oh meet my girlfriend Nandini Murty." Manik introduced us politely. I thought hearing my name would make Jasp recognise me but he didn't. J realised he hadn't gained his memory back.

" Well nice meeting you Ms Murty. This is my beautiful wife Calista Bauer. Wait are you Cabir's sister?" He asked looking directly at me. I nodded swallowing the lump that formed in my throat. I wanted to hug him and thank him for whatever he had done for me but I couldn't.

The guys started talking about their work leaving Calista and I to have a conversation of our.

"How far along are you?"

"24 weeks." I replied with a grin. This lady right here was so sweet and beautiful that I was proud of Jasp for choosing her as his partner.

"16 weeks more to go!" She squealed not too loud but yeah.

" Mhmm. You have a kid right how old is he?" I asked.

" Yeah he's 15 months old. He's a troublemaker though." She laughed out. " Do you know the gender yet?" She asked.

"A boy." I replied. She squealed again. Oh add cute to the list as well.

" I would really like to help you with stuff if you want to." She told me. Little did she know I might not be there to look after this one.

Unconsciously my hand went to my bump caressing it and I zoned out.

"Nandini." Manik called me.

"Yeah?"

"Let's leave shall we? You might be tired." He said with a cute smile adorning his face.

" Yeah." I turned to the couple said my good bye and we walked out.

It was nearly midnight. We were walking towards the car, when I saw someone. No! Fück why did they release him? I looked at Manik in fear. I wanted to leave this place right at this moment byt, we were waiting for bhai and Navya.
