M A N I K

It had been like a week since we went to the party. Yes we decided on naming him Ahaan. Nandini had successfully entered her third trimester this week. I was really excited to hold my son in my arms.

All this while I had been wondering about his looks and his health. He might have more of Nandini's feature but we never know. The fact that just in few weeks I would be responsible for a little human being scared me but made me ecstatic at the same time.

I know for a fact that my feelings towards Nandini had just deepened. It was no more that of a friend. She had started growing on me. The way she would smile, that sparkling eyes would always be capturing me.

I was really confused on what to do. I really didn't want to get into a relationship only to get hurt. All the things I have been through has just led me to lose all my faith and trust. I know Nandini wasn't anything like them but still there was this little bit of fear that once I get attached to her completely, she'll leave me.

These thoughts were giving me a headache.

I needed someone's help now. The first person that came to my mind was Cabir. I knew that he was home and that he wasn't busy but yet I decided to call and ask.

"Hey wassup?"

"You home?"

"Yeah why?"

"I am coming over to have some talk. Is Navya home or did she go to the hospital?"

" No she left like an hour ago."

" Cool I'll be there in 15."

With that I ended the call.

" Hey babygirl I am going to Cabir's for sometime you'll be fine right." I asked. I had been with her all the time since the party incident. She had veen getting nightmares and I didn't want to leave her alone.

"Alright. And yeah I'll be fine." Came her faint voice. She was apparently in the library reading her all time favourite Pride And Prejudice for the nth time.

"You want something?" I asked.

"Yeahh! I do! A bunch of chocolate bars and candies and oh two packets of skittles please." She had been consuming a lot of sweets since the beginning of her pregnancy. I knew for a fact that she would be done with these in like 4 days.

I sometimes feared eating this much candies and sweets might give her diabetes but then again she was a doctor and she knew what was harmful and what was good for her. I also knew that she loved the baby too much to put his life in danger. She also knew not put hers.

"Alright I'll see in sometime then bye." With that I left. It was spring season and the temperature was quite pleasant. Yet I was wearing a black hoodie and grey sweatpants. It was home clothes but I was too bored to change into a proper outfit.
