Dear Seth,

I am writing this note because... I'm not really sure how to say this. I like you. A lot. As more than a friend. Now, I now that's it's all weird because we don't even know each other, but there's just something about you. Something that's different than everyone else that I've ever met.

When you fought that douche for me, that's when it hit me fully. You're funny and awesome and cute and sexy and I really sound like a stalker right now. But all that's true. I'm sorry that I dragged you into this whole mess, but I've never been able to keep my gayness from affecting others (or at least that's what I've been told). And I don't even know if you're gay or not, but I had to take the chance.

I understand (and this is if you're straight) how weird this is for you but it's not meant to be weird. I also understand if you never want to talk to me again. My heart will be broken but I could never force you to be around me. I like you too much.

If by some miraculous and magical chance that you do like me, I'm writing down my cell phone number. You can call or text anytime. Please, if you feel something too, call me tonight. If you don't, I leave you alone. I swear.

Love, Ash <3

I could feel my jaw slowly dropping as I read the note. I had to read it over three times before it hit me. He liked me! A felt the huge grin spread across my face as I started to do a happy dance.

"What?" Leah said, as she reached for the note. Right. I forgot she was even there. I handed it to her, not even bothering to stop dancing. She read it five times quicker than I did and I knew when she got to the end becaue she let out a little squeal and joined me dancing.

"I tooold you!" she sang, laughing. "I can't believe this. This is amazing! Are you going to call him?"

I stopped dancing pretending to be deep in thought. "Oh, um, I dunno, dur, of COURSE I'm going to call him. What are you crazy?" I snatched the note back and read it one more time, just to be sure. Oh, my god! I think I was about to die!

"Well, get going. Go home, so you can loverboy!" Leah grinned, but I stopped. Man, that just killed my good spirits. I wish they would erase that word straight from the dictionary. That, and "dad." Everytime I heard them, my heart dropped and my throat dried up. They didnt' mean to me what they meant to everyone else.

"What's wrong?" Lee asked, noticing my change in mood.

"Nothing. I just realized I have to do something." I turned away from her and started hurrying down the hall.

"What? Are you sure you're okay? You were just celebrating the greatest victory, what happened?" I heard Lee's footsteps chasing after me. "Do you at least want a ride home?" This stopped me. I actually didn't feel like walking. Plus I had to get home and check the mailbox and answering machine before my dad got home, just in case the school decided to send something to my dad about my suspension. Whoo boy, imagine how that would go.

"Sure, yeah, that'd be great." I stopped and slapped a grin on my face before turning around.

"Great, awesome. You know that's perfect because I offered to give Ashley a ride home too and he's waiting in the car." Her already impossibly huge grin seemed to grow larger.
