Chapter 27

Wyatts PoV.

"I have a plan"

Was what Eliza had said before all of us, Zombies, Werewolves and Humans, had turned around to look at her. I wondered what plan the zombie girl was thinking off. The cave was about to close and there was no way that they could leave without missing someone or crush the moonstone.

"Zed...you're Z-Band. That is still damaged from the contact with Addisons necklace right?"

Elisa was looking at Zed with an expecting look. Oh the plan that she had better be good or else they all would be trapped in here.

"Oh yes it is Elisa but I cannot really see how that would help us in this situation..."

Zed said while he was tilting his head to the right side. I sighed and looked over at Jessica seeing a worried face expression. That whats caused me to bite my lip.

I really do not want her to get hurt. That would be the worst thing that could happen. The next worst thing which comes right after this was the moonstone that could get destroyed in a few moments.

But looking at Jessica and seeing a glimpse of fear in her eyes that were normally filled with a brave expression made me feel bad and angry at the same time. I had the sudden urge to protect her from getting hurt.

"...And that is how we are gonna safe the moonstone and get all of us out of this cave so nobody will get hurt!"

Oh...It seemed like Elisa had already explained her plan to the whole group and I did not here any of it because I was too much into thinking about that girl that was standing next to Zed with those freckles.

I do not really know why I am thinking of her like that but ever since she stepped into my life and we became friends it felt good. It felt like the two of us were meant to meet each other.

Then we all began to lift up the moonstone. We were now enough people to carry it out. Seems like the plan that they had was that Zed would hold open the cave while the rest of us would carry out and save the moonstone from getting destroyed.

So while we're carrying the moonstone out of the cave and Zed was holding the cave open with his Zombie strength my eyes wandered over to Jessica again and again.

God those hazel brown eyes were filled with bravery again. That was all I wanted because the worried face was not really fitting her.

As we sat the moonstone down on the outage of the cave and we all sighed in relief that we could save it, we heard a crash behind us.

"Zed!"

Addison was shocked. We all were shocked. Was the Zombie in the cave now? All by himself. Oh god. Now Addison had that worried face expression along with Jessica. I tried to reach for her hand. Just to give her security that everything will be okay

All of us looked at the smoke that was coming up as we heard beeping. Wait. Was Zed coming back? Then he stepped out of the smoke adjusting the Z-Band on his waist. That was the point that we all began to cheer.

"We made it! We saved the moonstone. We fricking nailed. Were the strongest!"

Wynter exclaimed excitedly and we all looked at her smiling

"Too much?"

"No Wynter it was just perfect"

Willa said before she hugged Wynter tightly. Our pack was saved for now. I looked over at Jessica and smiled happily which she returned. Then I gave her a hug. We both wrapped our arms around the other and just smiled

"We made it..."

I whispered and the two of us looked at each other for a couple of seconds.
