I hope Okuyasu comes here soon. I'm feeling so lonely. Josuke thought to himself, reaching up to feel his messy pompadour. Huh, I mean, this isn't perfect.. but it's better than having my hair down, for sure. Josuke sighed, before hearing the familiar shaking of a doorknob.

His eyes gleamed with euphoria as Okuyasu came in, his head hung low as he blushed. He was holding a bouquet of royal blue hyacinths and a closed container of food, on top of it was an envelope and plastic utensils. "I brought this stuff for you.. Josuke.." He said, rather humbly.

Josuke smiled wide, "O-Okuyasu!! You didn't have to..~" He chuckled, "T-thank you so much, bro! This seriously means a lot."

Okuyasu sighed a sigh of relief, slightly smiling as he made his way toward Josuke and set the flowers down on the hospital nightstand. Afterward, he sat down on the bed.

Josuke teared up as Okuyasu handed him the container of food, plus the utensils and envelope. Okuyasu was confused, opening his mouth to speak, before Josuke exclaimed, "I'm not usually this emotional, damn.." He sniffled, picking up the fork and opening the container. Inside were two warm tiramisus, topped with strawberries and powdered sugar. Okuyasu awkwardly scratched the back of his head, "I-It's from Tonio's. I stopped by his place on my way here and asked if he had anything to help you. Apparently, these are supposed to help you heal and stuff.." He mumbled. "Oh, man.. I don't deserve all this.. bro.." Josuke said as he cried. "Do you need tissues, dude? You okay? C'mon, just dig in!" Okuyasu touched Josuke's wrist.

Josuke wiped his tears with his other arm, sniffing. "I got it, don't worry.." He said, looking down at Okuyasu's hand against his wrist. His hand is so warm, it's comforting.. I really like the warmth. Do I say something..? No.. that'd be weird. Josuke thought, blushing a bit before getting a scoop of the tiramisu and putting it into his mouth, feeling the chocolaty flavor melt on his tongue. "Bro, this is so good! You want some?" Josuke said, offering Okuyasu his own fork to use. "I-I.. uh, well, this is for you. It's to help you heal, so it's specialized for you, not me." Okuyasu nervously laughed.

Sorry, Josuke. I would.. but it's your fork.. Okuyasu thought, looking down. "C'mon man, I couldn't eat two in front of you! Have some! It's really good. I'm sure it'll do nothing if you just eat a little bit." Josuke urged innocently.

Okuyasu tried to muster a better excuse, but after a few seconds of painful awkwardness, he sighed, giving in. "Okay, just a bite though." Okuyasu said in his usual rasp.

Josuke sliced a piece of the tiramisu with his fork, holding it up to Okuyasu's mouth, cracking a silly grin. Okuyasu stuttered, "J-Josuke! I can eat it m-myself! You don't have to --" Before he could finish, his mouth was full of tiramisu.

His cheeks flashed a peachy-fuchsia, his eyes wide with surprise. Josuke laughed, still having a hold of the plastic fork. Okuyasu slowly closed his mouth, pulling away from Josuke as he started to eat the tiramisu piece, letting the savory chocolate melt in his mouth. "Mmmf, I mean, i-it's really good.. but.." He said in a muffled voice, continuing to chew. The tiramisu tasted wonderful. "You didn't h-have to feed it to me.. bro.." Okuyasu said, swallowing. Josuke watched as Okuyasu ran his finger down his earlobe, awkwardly facing his right. Josuke sliced another bit of tiramisu with the fork, putting it in his mouth.

As he ate the tiramisu in silence, he started to think more on what he just did, shoving the tiramisu into Okuyasu's mouth like that. He began to feel regret. Admittedly, Okuyasu's reaction was kinda cute, but even so, I shouldn't have done that.. I should apologize. Josuke looked down, deep in thought. Hold on, did I just call him cute?? He froze in embarrassment. I thought I already went over this with myself. I'm not gay! I've never liked a girl, but that doesn't mean I'm gay.. especially gay for Okuyasu. He's a best friend.. we are incredibly close.. but that doesn't mean I like him, right? I can still think he's cute.. that shouldn't make me --

"Oi, Josuke! You completely spaced out. What's wrong?"

Josuke was startled by Okuyasu's interjection. "I- OH! O-Okuyasu! Oops, I'm sorry. I kinda zoned out for a second there. Uh, I'm fine though, heh." Josuke exclaimed, feeling his cheeks go a bit red. Momentarily, he had forgotten why he totally spaced out, before it hit him again. Right, I should apologize. Josuke shot an apologetic glance at Okuyasu, "Yo, sorry I put the tiramisu in your mouth, that probably made you uncomfortable."

"O-Oh! That's okay, I was just a bit surprised, that's all. I mean I guess it wasn't too bad anyway.. it just didn't sit well with me how it was the fork you put in your mouth.."

Shit! He's right.. that was a bit weird. Josuke cringed, placing his left hand on the back of his neck, looking down. "Uhh, sorry, I didn't really think about that, but we're still bros, right?"

"Of course! And, yeah, I probably shouldn't have made a big deal about it. Anyway, I should get going now.. Koichi agreed to give me his notes today because I was 'sick'. I really just wanted to see you though. I'll be at the park on the other side of Morioh with 'em. I'll see you tomorrow, yeah?" Okuyasu rasped with an inauthentic smile. Josuke could tell that he was disappointed to leave, like yesterday.

"Okuyasu."

"Huh?"

"Could you promise me that you'll bring up your grades while I'm at the hospital? I know this is sudden, but I'm kinda worried. You're skipping school every day to check up on me.. so, could you please stop visiting me for a little bit and work with Koichi to raise your grades..?" Josuke awkwardly said, looking at Okuyasu.

"Oh, I see. Sorry if I'm bothering you when I'm coming over.. I just wanted to be there for you."

Josuke flinched, "O-Okuyasu! That did not come out right -- what I said!! I-I totally would allow you to come over everyday, but right now I think it's best that you focus on your grades. School is very important, y'know? B-Besides, I'll probably be out in a couple of weeks. I was evaluated by a physical therapist and my doctor told me that I'll be fine in like 2 weeks, and I don't need any therapy for it. Just gotta recover my muscles since they were weakened from my coma or something like that."

"Oh! Okay. I hope you enjoy your food from Tonio's, a-and don't forget to read the letter. Bye, Josuke!" Okuyasu and Josuke exchanged waves before Okuyasu left the room, gently closing the door behind him.

Josuke sighed. "I hope he's still not hurt by what I said. Ugh, what was I thinking, saying that?" He winced in aggravation at himself, taking another bite of the tiramisu.

After finishing the tiramisus, he put the utensils in the container and closed it, placing it on the nightstand beside the flowers. That was sweet of him, getting those flowers. They're really pretty. Josuke blushed a bit, smiling warmly, recalling the moment when Okuyasu stumbled into the hospital room some 30 minutes ago with those hyacinths in hand, his face flushed a beet red.

He chuckled, the memory lifting his spirit from the awkward conversation right before Okuyasu had left.

"Right, the envelope." Josuke said in remembrance, turning back to the bed, spotting the envelope. He picked it up. On it, had a heart sticker that held it closed. In Okuyasu's signature, sloppy hand-writing, he had addressed the letter to Josuke, and wrote his name below. He didn't think much of the sticker, peeling it off and taking out the folded note inside. Josuke put the envelope on the nightstand, and unraveled the slightly-crinkled note. It read:

"Hi Josuke,

I felt like it would be weird to say this to you out loud, so Im going to write it instead. After your discharged from the hospital, do you want to go to the park? I want to talk to you. I know this sounds weird, but I've been bothered by this for a while. I'm not realy that smart, so i don't know what Im feeling. It'll make since when I tell you at the park.

Get better soon! ^-^

-Okuyasu"

What? He doesn't know what he's feeling? Josuke thought, puzzled. Hm, okay. He sighed, folding the note back and slipping it into the envelope. Sighing, he leaned back and rested his head on the pillow, looking at the royal blue hyacinths.
