Night #20

The screen fades into the footage of the living room.

Dad is seen sitting on the couch while he looks through some documents.

Dad goes on his laptop and searches for something as he calls Father Tom. He grabs a document and compares it with what is on the laptop.

He quickly calls Father Tom.

Nervously, he says,

"Father? Yeah, I'm gonna need you to come over now.. I can't wait until night time. No, I get that you're busy but my daughter got dragged of her room last night! I'm planning on bringing my entire family to a hotel today, we don't want to stay in this home, we don't feel safe so can you go to the hotel instead? What do you mean we can't leave? Okay, fine. Make sure you arrive at 9 tonight. Please don't be late." Dad said in a worrying tune.

The camera cuts to the footage of Sam's room.

Damien is seen flipping through pages of the book of demonology. He searches something on the internet and starts reading it.

"Demons have no reason whatsoever to exist. They only exist to cause pain and harm. They are sometimes described as the physical form of the word "Malevolent", "Pain", "Torture" and "Evil." When a demon is haunting a subject or an individual, it usually has an objective. The objectives are usually connected to horrifying pasts, these includes massacres, rituals, deals with the devil itself and other traumatic or horrifyin-." Damien reads out as the screen cuts to the camera footage of Sam's camera.

Sam is recording Nicole scrolling through different articles about the disappearance of Leila who is their adopted sister's real name.

"She went missing in this exact same house that we are in. 2015, police and authorities did nationwide searches through forests and even sewers and they found nothing. Houses were even broken into in order to find her." Nicole read out.

"Mom always takes forever when she goes grocery shopping. I wanted her to teach me how to use the new mop that she bought the other day but I guess that's not happening.." Sam says.

"You are like the only one among the four of us that actually likes cleaning. I feel like that's a joke but turns out it isn't.." Nicole replies.

"The hell was that.." Sam whispers into the camera.

"Nicole. Has Angel woke up yet?" Sam asked.

"Nope.." Nicole replied.

"Should I check?" Sam asks.

"I don't think that's a good idea, she was dragged out of bed yesterday. It must be really traumatic or just straight up terrifying to experience that, just let her rest." Nicole adds.

"Alright.." Sam said.

The screen cuts to the footage of the kitchen. Dad is seen getting some water while holding his laptop. He proceeds to go to the backyard.

The screen cuts back to the footage of Sam's handheld camera.

"Yeah, Father Tom is coming tonight. I think we'll be oka-" Nicole said as a loud bang from Angel's room interrupts her.

"Stay here. I'll go check.." Sam says as he holds his camera and slowly walks out of Nicole's room and heads towards Angel's room.

He knocks on Angel's door.

"Angel? Did you wake up? Ya need anything?" Sam asked.

Sam slowly opens the door and finds the room in pitch darkness.

"Shit!" Sam exclaims as the door behind him slowly closes by itself without him noticing.

Sam hears a squeaking sound as he quickly turns night vision on. He looks around Angel's room and sees her stationery and clothes littered over the floor. Blood drops are also seen across the floor. Sam also finds Angel's mirror completely shattered. He looks up on the ceiling and sees the ceiling fan swaying by itself. He looks back down on the floor and sees Angel's clothes and stationery that were on the floor have now disappeared.
