Night #18

The screen fades into the footage of Sam's handheld camera.

It is 15:09pm.

Sam records Damien silently scrolling through the articles and reports. Sam gets called outside by Nicole.

"What is it?" Sam asks.

"You don't notice your brother's weird behaviour? You better not tell me if the demon jumped between people or something..." Nicole says.

"Give him some space! His best friend just fucking passed away and here we are talking about a extremely sensitive topic behind his back.." Sam replies.

"Well yeah.. but if his best friend passed away, wouldn't he just sleep in bed all day and look at pictures. Why is he still researching this demonic stuff?" Nicole says.

"No shit, Sherlock! He's dedicated alright? T don't know about you but we are extremely close to figuring this situation-" Sam says as he gets interrupted by Angel's scream.

"But.. Why is he constantly googling "Leila's disappearance", like why is he so fricking specific?" Nicole asks.

"Well for the past two days he has always been searching about Leila only because she lived in the house that we are talking in right now. Rumour says that her soul was taken by a demon, she got brainwashed and finally the demon took her." Sam said.

"I thought you said she has the same birth date as Hunter?" Nicole asked.

"Yeah, that is true but we can maybe consider to start moving on as Hunter already went home with her Mom, Katie, yesterday. I saw his mom yesterday, she didn't even look like she was sick before, it just felt and looked so weird.." Sam said.

Nikki and Sharmine are heard calling Nicole in the background.

"Keep me updated about it. If there's anything wrong with your brother tell me. Goodbye. Also, I'm still pissed that because of these stuff, my two best friends had to leave..." Nicole said.

Sam quickly turns his camera around and enters his room.

"I can't take this anymore. Damien, what's wrong? Since Edwin passed you've been really depressed.. you do realise it's bad for your health right?" Sam asks.

"It's not because of Edwin... I think I know why we're being haunted.." Damien said.

Sam quickly locks the door.

"How?" Sam asked.

The camera cuts.

"So back in 2006, Katie was possessed by a demon. She then went to her sister's home and killed her and her husband. After killing her sister and her husband, she took their son, Hunter. Jump to 2013, Leila and her family lived in the home that we live in right now. The demon was believed to have possessed Leila. An extermination or an exorcism was performed, it worked at the first half and things went south later. Leila and Hunter were both believed to have disappeared because the demon needed their blood. They were born on the same day, on  June 6th, 2006. 666, they had the number of satan itself in their birth date. Some people believed that both of them were part of some prophecy or some shit. The most convincing rumour here is that, 666 was in their birth date, the demon decided to abduct both of them to use a drop of both of their blood to give it a physical body. A girl that looked nearly identical to Leila was found at an adoption center in 2003, 3 years before Leila herself was born." Sam said.

"So how did Leila exist without being given birth to?" Nicole asks.

"Time travelling. The covens of witches are responsible for helping to extract the blood from Hunter and Leila to give the demon a physical body. They also have something that can be used to travel to the future, travel to past, have a life way longer than others but with one exception, you can travel to anymore in any point of time you want to but it only allows you to travel to an unholy place such as a place where massacres, murder, unexplained activity and deaths happen. The most convincing theory for Leila's reason to appear in an adoption center 3 years before she was born was that the extermination or "casting the demon back to hell" method that was performed by the priest worked a little, in order to extract one drop of her blood,she had to be brainwashed. The brainwashing process might have been not as effective since an extermination was performed by the priest. My thought is the witches still managed to extract that one drop of blood from Leila but she escaped through one of the time portals and she ended up in adoption center in 2003." Sam answered.
