Chapter 2

Jade's Pov

*Hey it's Sophie leave a message*

Yup you guessed it. She left me. No call. No text. Just like that.

She better have a very good excuse for this.

Ugh where the hell is this stupid uber?

I am feeling anxious now. You see the streets of New York are not exactly safe for someone like me at this hour.

As if on cue.

Out of nowhere four men appeared in front of me.

"Hello there" the tallest one said. He looked at me like a hungry predator and a chill ran through my spine.

They started to walk closer to me, and I felt as if every cell in my body started vibrating and I did only thing that crossed my mind. I ran as fast as I could on now idle streets with them close on my tail.

Soon I took a turn right in hopes to outrun them but crashed right into something or rather someone.

Oh god please tell me you are not with them.

I stepped back to meet my eyes with his and that's when he smirked "Look who we have here".

Fuck!

He immediately grabbed me and turned me around so my back was facing him and caged me in his arm so I couldn't escape. I tried my best to wiggle out of his hold but he wouldn't budge.

"Quit fighting love" he laughed clearly enjoying my misery.

My head was spinning, running 100 miles an hour going through every worse thing that could happen to me now. Quit fighting my ass.

I bit his arm as hard as I could. He screamed and as his grip loosened, I took the opportunity to free myself and run only to come face to face with one of the four.

I didn't see them catching up.

I turned around to see all the five of them surrounding me. I felt like a helpless deer trapped in the middle of the pack of wolves. Oh this is surely a nightmare. Five against one. Life cannot be this cruel, can it?

"Seems like you made them run quite a marathon love" the fifth one laughed coldly.

He walked closer to me.

"Stop right there. Don't you dare come near me" I warned him taking a step backwards.

"Hey easy there love we are not gonna hurt you but you are making it really hard not to. All you have to do is come with us and we can do this the easy way or hard way, take your pick" he negotiated.

I should be scared right now. I know I should. Too bad I my brain was in survive mode. So I did the most stupid thing a person could do to their possible murderers.

"Go to hell,dick" I spit the words on his face.

Ugh why don't I think before I act.

He was practically red from anger now. But before he could do anything the sound of gunshot echoed through my ears and the tallest one dropped dead.

The shooter ladies and gentlemen was none other than Zander Righello.

"Zander Righello" the fifth one said, " cannot say I didn't expect you".

The person I was looking at right now was completely different than the one I met earlier at club. His eyes were cold. Almost murderous.

"Skull" Zander said with his husky accent which sounded as cold and intimidating as his eyes "couldn't say I expected you at all considering our agreement."
