The next day, I walked into the training room 2 minutes early, remembering what the man (that still has no name) told us. I hope I don't have to see him again. After I entered, I saw a woman, with bright red curly hair practicing her gun at a shooting range. I guess that's what we're doing today. Luckily, I had brought the gun, thinking it had to be useful.
I started walking towards her hesitantly, I was the only one there. If she murders me, would the others find out? After I was around 5 feet away from her, she turned around, and said, "I don't bite, you know." I heard the door opening again, she continued, "Oh look! Another person has arrived! I am Agent Bell, as you know, we are only supposed to call each other our codenames."
"Today, I'm going to be teaching you how to use a gun. Your next two days will be on hand to hand. The two days after that will be on using your own weapon, and the last two days will be makeup days, and if you do good enough, you can have those days off!"
That sounded good. I turned around to see how many more people had arrived, and let's just I was shocked to see all of my teammates here. One of the boys said, "Shit. I forgot to get my gun!"
Agent Bell laughed, "No worries! I got extra guns because I remember how I was my first day. I was a mess. I forgot everything you can possible forget, the location of this room, my gun, the time I had to wake up, and a number of other things. You are not alone!" I smiled, Agent Bell seemed nice.
-*-*-
After Agent Bell, that still sounds weird to say, taught us how to use the guns, we had to practice.
My first shot missed the center by around 7 inches! My next try was significantly closer. After a couple more tries, I was able to shoot the center. I guess all those video games and VR sessions truly did pay off! Agent Bell seemed happy too. In fact, she said, "For today, I think you might be done. You should work on increasing you strength. You see the punching bag over there? Start punching it."
I groaned inwardly. I might have good aim, but I'm far from strong. If we get to hand0to-hand combat, the worst person name is going to be Silvya.
-*-*-
During the rest of the week, we worked on hand-to-hand and close combat. I sucked at hand-to-hand, and in close combat, I was okay. Obviously, when the fight was upto strength, I always lost. However, my quick reflexes and strategy kept me alive.
