I woke up in a warm bed, and it took me a moment to remember everything that happened. I went from Agent Silver, to the stranded Silvya. If I'm still here, I must have not been able to go back. I look around for my weapons, while the person I saw before I blacked out seemed decent, I couldn't be too careful. I finally found a note that said, 'You are too young to worry about weapons. After you wake up, please join me for breakfast. There we will discuss who you are, and why you are here. Also, I recommend looking in a mirror if you haven't already. I will explain what I can.'

I decided to look in mirror. It couldn't be cursed, right? God, staying with the other agents has made me paranoid. I looked in the mirror, to see something that definitely surprised me! I had wolf ears that popped up from the top of my head, and I had two elongated teeth at the top of my mouth, that could have belonged to a vampire at halloween. Or a really cool wolf costume.

Wait a second. The dude I initially met could transform into a wolf. What if he infected me or whatever, and now I'm turning into a wolf! I ran out of the room, and down a hallway, into what appeared to be a kitchen. There I saw the 8th grade boy/wolf eating calmly like nothing weird happened! That insufferable... what should I call him? I was well versed in the art of creating insults, but I don't know enough about him to make a really good one. I don't even know his name!

The boy looked up at me, "Ah, you're awake! My name is Greely, I'm the wolf alpha of Jamaa, the planet you stumbled upon. I have not seen a portal like the one you came from in ages! I would presume you come from Earth?" I nodded, not knowing what to say. If we had come here before, why was I sent here? I thought we were scouts for new planets! He continued, "I'm sure you're wondering why you don't look... well... completely human. When you came here, your body was forced to undergo a transformation, to fit in. All of the citizens of Jamaa are what your race calls shapeshifters, we can be human, and a select, and sometimes multiple, animals. However, I'm the last of my race to know how to do it, since the art has been lost on many. After you master how to transform into a wolf, which I presume you animal is, and back, you won't be stuck in a half-transformed stage like this." That made sense, but he is, like, in 8th grade! How can he be the dude? If I remember correctly the alpha wolves in packs are usually powerful, and not 8th grades!

He then said, "While you're here, I think you need to learn more about Jamaa to fit in. Here, many species coexist, unlike your Earth. Here, we have an alpha for each species, and I'm the wolf alpha. Wolves have their own secrets, we are chosen by popular vote, and can always be changed. The other species do not have this system, and instead are chosen at a young age, unknowingly experience tests their whole life, and are then 'chosen'. The previous wolf alpha was dying, and so the wolves wanted new blood. I was chosen, since I was a descendant, and had 'great potential'. When the other alphas are around, I will look different, or older, and you must hide. While they won't hurt you, you won't remain secret. Then, you may be targeted. As I said, wolves elect their alpha, and they might hurt you to get to me."

Greely had a protective glint in his eye. He appeared to be someone I could trust. I smiled back at him, and grinned, well, wolfishly. His already attractive face seemed to light up, when he smiled. Holy... where did those thoughts come from? I shook my head to try and rid myself of those thoughts, and then asked, "How do I start trying to control my form? And, can I get my weapons back?"

Greely replied, "Yes. I am only giving you your weapons back to help you trust me, but remember, I do not want that gun used here. I will also teach you our methods of fighting, to assist you if you are ever in danger and don't wish to reveal what you truly are. Training starts right after you eat something."

I nodded, and grabbed a plate from a rack. Then, I grabbed some toast. It had always been my favorite, and since I'm a firm believer of vegetarianism, I don't think I'm going to be able to adjust to the typical wolf diets.
