Growing up in West Africa, Nigeria isn't every child's dream. Sometimes my mind wanders what goes on in the minds of the foreigners when they hear the name of my country.
To me it was my world,my mother's land and I loved it with all my being even though you'll catch me occasionally wishing I'll get a scholarship and leave the country for studies.
Well you can't blame me though our educational system required so much hardwork that when I read online and discover how certain things are served in a platter of gold I can't help but wish.
Thinking of it where's it ever easy I mean school life, a teenage school life most especially.
Nevertheless am proud of being a Nigerian.
Further math class was a long boring one, for me at least cause I spent half of my time dozing off in sleep.
Thanks to Aneesah who wouldn't let me sleep cause we had to read for a test.
I wonder why she's so stressed out about an exam we've prepared for ever since we became seniors I really don't get.
Walking down the long hall into my dorm was where I met her, jessy.
Jessy I won't call her an introvert per say but she isn't so good at communicating, that's why she's mostly friends with all the weirdos in my class. I in particular knows she'll never go out with people like me.
Oh yes people like me who are termed the geeks not just that am sure I'll conversations will bore her.
I don't know why but I always felt like if I got a little bit closer I'll like her personality.
But as mom says I have too many friends already at least that's what it looks like but in reality am just this misunderstood girl.
A big one at that.
But what was she doing all alone sitting there, I felt betrayed I mean that was my spot.
The spot I came Everytime I felt too pressured, to lonely or too sick of being around my so called friends. What was this weirdo doing there and what was she scribbling down in a book?
I normally don't like to invade people's privacy but here I was about to do so.
Hello Jessy, she shrieked then turned around.
What amused me was how she swiftly closed the book and tossed it behind her whilst still holding tightly to it.
Hey Rose, am surprised you know my name. Well who wouldn't am that weirdo who hangs around the other weirdo but am weirder cause unlike the rest I don't try to make a conversation with the rest of the class who aren't weirdo or anyone in particular.
I chuckled at her statement. Yeah true I and my friends thought she was weirder than the rest.
You all probably thinking how weird was the cycle. Here's the thing there's an Albert Einstein in my class, yes surprised the boy was just too smart for his age, Nnamdi that was his, igbo by tribe and was really smart.
To cut the crap is Nnamdi talks too much on educational stuff everyone reffered him as crazy and he's part of the  cycle.
I personally don't think he's crazy so I never refer him to as one.
