she sat in the interrogation room for what felt like an hour.

finally, she heard the door open and shut. "wilden." she said, the name leaving a bitter taste in her mouth.

he sat across from her and smiled. "ms. morrissey, a pleasure as always."

"i bet." she put on her best fake smile. "what am i here for? i thought i gave you all the information you needed."

"don't be so tense, o." him saying her nickname caused shivers to run down her back. he shuffled through a bunch of papers in his hand before getting to the one he needed. "what can you tell me about spencer hastings?"

the question took her back and he could tell. "w-well, she's been a good friend of mine for forever. thanks to alison. she's top of our class." she watched as he read over the paper. unfortunately, she couldn't get a look at what it was. "anything else?"

"yeah, what can you tell me about ian thomas? where were you the night of his m-suicide." he looked up into her eyes. one thing that didn't change about wilden was his creepiness.

ophelia sighed, running her fingers through her wavy hair. "i was at my aunt's house in new york. my brother didn't want me around all this drama, wasn't good for my mental health. i didn't find out about his death until the night i got back." she said straightly. "now can i go? i have places to go."

wilden rolled his eyes and got up. "let's go." she stood up and followed him to the door. he out his hand on the door knob and turned around to her. their faces only inches apart. "but next time, when something like this goes down, don't leave rosewood."

"is that a threat?" he shrugged with a devilish smile. "because if it's a threat, don't forget what i know." she pushed passed him and walked out, leaving him speechless. she texted spencer quickly and made her way to the brew.

"ali, are you sure? why don't you just a-"

"stop being such a third grader, o." she cut her off. "we have nothing to worry about anyways. this guy is obsessed with me and my friend. he would jump off a bridge if we told him to." alison fluffed her perfect blonde hair in the bathroom mirror. "plus, he was totally perving on me. he knew i wasn't nineteen, i have the texts to prove it. weirdo."

the two girls were in a shady gas station bathroom outside of rosewood. alison had to pick something up from this college boy she knew. she applied her pink lip gloss to her plump lips. a car pulled up and she smirked. "stay in here, no matter what. okay?" ophelia nodded as alison left the bathroom.

a few minutes passed and she heard a loud gasp outside. "ali?" she ran to the door and peeked her head out. though it was dark she could see both alison and the mystery man. he had light brown hair and strong build. he had one hand around alison's neck and the other reaching for something in his pocket. alison was pushed against the wall. he could see the outline of some sort of gun.

"i'll kill you, alison. right here, right now." the man spoke. ophelia was about to run out till she heard allison's laugh.

"you really think you scare me, wilden?  try again." she smirked. "now give it to me or i go to the cops, you freak." she spat at him. the man handed her a yellow envelope and ran back to his car, speeding away. she looked inside the envelope and smiled as she shoved it in her purse. she looked over to the bathroom and sighed. "come out, sweetie, the scary man is gone."

ophelia ran over to her. "are you okay? i saw him p-"

"never talk about it." alison cut her off. "now let's get a bite, i'm starving." alison walked away like nothing happened, classic alison move. "come on!"  as soon as the two girls stepped into the light, ophelia saw the handmark around alison's tiny neck. she lightly touched her neck and wiped away the tear that was on her cheek.

"i'll get a coffee and what do you want?" spencer turned to her spaced out friend. "ophelia?"

she quickly snapped out of her thoughts and turned to her friend with a smile. "what's up?" spencer nodded towards the waitress. "oh, i'm sorry. i'll have a green tea with honey please." the lady scribbled it in her notebook and left the girls alone.

"green tea, that's new." spencer mumbled, putting her phone in her bag

"dr. sullivan said i should try and steer away from it." she noticed spencer's hand twitching and could feel her leg bouncing under the table. "but she obviously told the wrong person."

spencer rolled her eyes and sighed. the waitress handed them their drinks. ophelia began to sip her tea when spencer cleared her throat. "i walked downstairs and heard my dad screaming at someone on the phone."

"classic mr. hastings." ophelia said after taking a big sip.

"but here's the thing," she gulped her coffee down. "it wasn't a client or someone at his office, i think it was mrs. dilaurentis." ophelia almost choked on her hot beverage. "i know! well i'm not entirely sure it was her but he was complaining about jason being back."

ophelia brought a napkin up to her mouth to clean up the tea she just spit up. "j-jason? what about him being home?" she looked up to see spencer's scheming face, a look that never ended well. "no way, nope. i will not be your dilaurentis spy." she whispered the last part.

"o, please! he likes you the most out of all of us! he clearly hates me, hanna refuses to be near him, aria has a weird history with jason, and i don't know about emily at this point."

"what do you mean 'weird history'?" she questioned.

spencer gathered her things, pulling a five dollar bill out of her purse. "i don't know, you remember her huge crush on him. but now that she's with ezra, she gets weirded out by him." both girls pushed in their chairs.

"mr. fit-i mean ezra, yeah, i forgot about that." they both stood in line to pay. "speaking of relationships, how are you and toby?" she nudged her friend, causing spencer to smile big. she has never seen her this happy and it makes ophelia even happier.

"honestly? it's amazing." they both paid their bill and walked outside. "this is where we part ways. please consider being my spy on the inside." spencer hugged her.

her whole walk home all she could think about her friend's happy relationships. aria with ezra, spencer with toby, emily with samara or maya (it's confusing), and hanna has been flirting with the new kid, caleb. that just leaves her, like old times. ali always did call her the runt of the friend group. aria may be the smallest but ophelia was the weakest member. alison said with her help she could 'toughen' her up and 'make boys notice her'. she kicked a pebble while she walked home.

"ophelia? is that you?" she heard a voice call from outside of a store.

she turned her head to see mrs. dilaurentis. "mrs. d? what a surprise!" she lied through her teeth as she hugged the woman.

"it's so great to see a familiar face? how have you been, darling?" she lightly touched her face. ophelia has always been mrs. dilaurentis' favorite.

ophelia smiled. "great, just trying to get pass my junior year. how are you?"

"i've been okay." silence grew between the two. "listen, can you do me a favor?" ophelia nodded. "can you and the girls meet me for lunch tomorrow? it would mean the world." she felt her stomach drop, growing nervous.

"o-of course! we'd love to!" she gave her a tight squeeze before going back to shopping. ophelia tried to catch her breath as she texted her friends.

Ophelia: We need to talk ASAP. Mrs. Dilaurentis wants to meet with us.-O
