All of this is wrong.

Amelia doesn't need me checking up on her but I want to make sure her and Meredith are all right.

After Derek died, they have been pretty depressed and apart of me is thinking Amelia is going to slowly spiral into her addiction again and I do not need that to happen.

It sounds terrible but I'm really hoping that I can get some alone time with Meredith when I find the courage to knock on the door. It's about 6 in the morning and I know Mer is off of work to help with the newborn.

There's something about Meredith that makes my head do a 360° when she walks in the room. She's so gorgeous and bubbly but now her bubble has been popped and she's more sad. She has every right to be, her husband died a few months ago.

After finally preparing myself, I got out of my car and knocked.

A few moment later a tired yet stunning blonde comes and opens the door "Addison? What are you doing here so early?" Something about her voice when she wakes up made my stomach do flips.

"Hey, sorry I'm here at the crack of dawn but I'm here to check up on Amelia, I'm concerned." I say with emphasis on the word concerned.

"Oh, well come in, would you like some coffee?"

"If it's no trouble then sure."

I followed her in the house and saw she has on the cutest but shortest shorts ever to pair with her oversized green Dartmouth sweatshirt. God she looked adorable.

Putting my bag down on the couch, I take a seat in the kitchen and watch her for a second before I accidentally end up staring.

"Is there something on my face?" She asks.

"No, your face is beautiful." I say and mentally slapping myself after. "Sorry, that was weird."

"No, it's fine, um you have a pretty gorgeous face as well."

The both of us were obviously blushing.

"Do you have any plans for today?" I ask before gathering myself together.

"No I'm free. I was wondering if you would let me stay with you guys for the day, you know cook or buy groceries or something." I suggest.

"Addison I can't let you do that for me."

"If not you then let me do it for Amelia, I know you're worried too." I negotiate.

"Fine, you're only doing this for Amelia though!"

"Yes ma'am." I smirk.

a couple hours later

Meredith and I have been laughing and talking over coffee for about 2 hours now and I absolutely love it. She's a joy to be around honestly.

Amelia had woken up not too long ago and I told her to get ready so we could go to the store. Hopefully this should cheer her up and if she picks out the food she wants, maybe she'll eat.

When Meredith went to get her up, I looked in her refrigerator and freezer to see what kinds of food she had so I knew what to get Meredith.

There's no way I'm gonna go to the store and not get her anything just because she said no. Hell she barely knows me and she's letting me stay at her house for the day.

"Addison, you ready?" Amelia calls from the steps.

Honestly, she's looked better. You can tell that she's getting skinnier and skinnier by the day and her hair is thinning.

"Yup let's go." I turn to Meredith. "It shouldn't take too long." I say.

"Take your time, I'll be here when you get
back." She hands me my jacket with a warm smile and I send one in return.

I walk out and into my car with a cheesy smile. I can feel Amelia giving me a weird look but I don't push it, not yet.

How would she even feel about me dating her half sister. Half sister only by Derek, who's dead.

at the store

"I don't eat ice cream." Amelia says.

"It's for Meredith, I saw some in her freezer." I say nonchalantly.

"What's going on between you two?" She questions.

"Nothing, we're friends and I just need a friend right now that's not from LA."

"The smiles this morning, your coat, I think you like her." She grins.

"You're silly."

We got some more things for the both of them and I got some ingredients to make chicken alfredo tonight so I'm sure they eat.

"Meredith hates dark chocolate." Amelia says, I know she's teasing me but she's been giving me genuine advice on the foods the both of them eat.

"It's not for her, it's for me."

We checked out and loaded the car back up. I knew it was early so I stopped by a bakery to pick up some pastries from everyone.

Amelia is definitely onto us.

back at home

Amelia used her key to get us in the house and Meredith was sitting in the same spot she was in when we left.

She got up to help us put groceries away but soon realized all of her favorite foods were on the table.

"Addison, how'd you know?"

"Lucky guess." I smile.

She picks up something from a bag that I didn't pay attention to and sits back down on the couch.

I finished with the groceries a couple minutes later.

"Amelia, where's my chocolate?" I ask searching bags.

"I didn't see it, I know you bought it though."

When we couldn't find it, I looked over at Meredith who was trying her best to hide it.

"You got a little something on your lip." I cross my arms and look at her with my eyebrow slightly raised.

"To be fair, I thought it was for me, I love dark chocolate." She plays with the wrapper.

But Amelia said-

I slowly made my way to the couch and sat next to her, not taking my eyes off her as she looked pleased yet scared.

"I'm going to get you back Meredith." I whisper close into her ear.

I immediately see goosebumps on her neck and I know the impact I have on her.
