Third person POV
T.V was playing silently in the background, as you sat there on the couch with tears streaming down your cheeks, make-up smeared, wearing a black dress which was totally dishevelled.
You pick your phone up and replay the message he sent you.
"Uh hi babe, I know I promised you that I would be home by 8 ,but uh actually some work came up, so I will be with Grayson tonight. I promise I will make up for it. Bye"
You let out a breathy laugh, hearing his another excuse. It wasn't the first time, he had given you hope, made empty promises, stood you up. It has been the same thing from last 1 month.
Grayson's POV
"Why do you this to yourself?" I ask Y/n, as I walk in the living room with a glass of water for her. My heart ached for her. No one deserves this, getting their heart broken by someone who they considered their whole world.
"Why don't you just leave him?" I said looking at the person who always had a bright smile on her face which was enough to make someone's day, the person who was full of positivity and happiness, the person who was way too good to be treated this way.
It was a shame that the reason behind this was my own brother that she trusted and most importantly loved more than herself. But sadly, he was an another fool, who went for a girl who opened her legs rather than the girl who opened her heart.
"You wanna know why?" She said looking straight at the t.v. "because I am torn between not giving up on the person
that I love and coming to terms with the fact that the person that I love no longer exist in the inside of the body, I stare at everyday and that's a really difficult and painful thing to wrap your brain around" she said as new tears formed in her eyes replacing the old ones.
"Y/n the careless guy like him doesn't deserve a heart like yours" I said taking her hand in mine. She looks at me with a tiny smile, making my heart warm. "You need to know that you are better off without him and soon he will realise that he lost a genuine person who actually cared for him, put up with him, refused to gave up on him." I said smiling at her. "Thank you Grayson" she said hugging me.
"So how about we have a besties night with a tub of ice-cream and some of your favourite movies" I said trying to lighten her mood. "Yeah sure" she said smiling at my girly accent. "That's the smile I was missing" I said to her before hugging her again. "I don't know what I would do without you" she mumbled against my chest. "I wonder the same" I said chuckling at her.
"Come on lets get ready for our movies night" I said getting up and going in my room to get her one of my hoodies to change into and some wipes for her makeup. "Here you go, you can change in my room and these are the make up wipes" I said giving her all the things. "Thank you Gray" she said, making my heart flutter at the nickname.
The whole night continued, we watched two movies, while eating a tub of ice cream. Now Y/n was sleeping besides me, cuddled up to a blanket. I take my time to admire her, how Ethan can be so selfish to hurt this beautiful angel. Now not only he has destroyed someone's trust but most importantly, he changed the whole perspective of love for her, which is way worse than anything.
