I kicked at her chest with all the strength I had in me and we both fell. I fell on her and smiled as her head came in contact with the floor.

"Fight! Fight! Fight! Fight!" Everyone yelled and she growled and pulled my legs when I tried to crawl away.

"Leave me alone you overgrown bitch!" I screamed and kicked her face. Tears welled in my eyes as my legs kept on hitting her. I kicked her in frustration as I poured my whole anger on her. The things Jerry did to me, the thought of being sent to a reformatory because of him. The thought of mom not returning my voicemails. Someone pulled me up and I trashed in their arms. A nurse came in front of me, filing up a syringe.

"No please don't. I'm calm I promise. I won't do it again." I pleaded, shaking in fear and she made eye contact with the man that came to Bow's rescue this morning. He nodded and I released. My knuckles hurt because I hit it on the ground.

"You're all here for correction and you're making things worse. I'm ashamed of the both of you," he said and I frowned.

"She strangled me." I protested and he glared at me so hard that I stared on the floor. The bell rang and everyone began to leave

"You're going to the red room to clean up and then you'll report yourself to
Professor Henkins. And that is applied to the both of you," he said and I sighed in defeat. Billy and I followed him, and we still glared at each other. We followed him to the building next to the male's block. There were so many doors. I saw the music studio and ballet hall. We got to the first floor and the first room was the sick bay. He opened it and the stench of medicine and disinfectants filled my nose. I scrunched my nose and looked around for Bow on the beds

"Where's Bow?" I asked him.

"She's back at the dorm," he replied and I sighed in relief. I sat down on one of the beds facing Billy and the nurse attending to me, blocked my view from her death glare.

"Do you feel any pain?" She asked and I raised my knuckles to her. She examined it and shook her head.

"You have a broken middle finger," she said and I laughed.

"I've been through worse." I told her and she ran her fingers through my hair. I looked at her blonde hair like mine and wished she was my mom.

"You remind me of my daughter," she sighed.

"Are you my mom?" I asked and she chuckled and shook her head no.

"My daughter died of cancer," she said and my face fell.

"I'm sorry." I told her and she gave me a tight smile. She wrapped my knuckles and gave me pain meds. Billy had her nose wrapped and a bandage on her head. We left together, towards Professor Henkins' office

"Hey." I called and she ignored me.

"Look I'm sorry about what happened. I was a little out of control." I told her and she scoffed. I knocked on the door and I heard a faint come in. We got in slowly to see her sipping a cup of coffee. She dropped the cup and I frowned at the choking smell of the coffee.

"You two wanna destroy my reputation here isn't it," she started and I looked down at my shoes.

"Do you know how many years it took me to move here from River Thames?" She asked and I rolled my eyes.

"Miss. Black, you're assigned to clean the food hall this morning and Miss. Sinclair, you're in charge of cleaning the hallways and dorm for a week," she said and I sighed in relief while Billy gasped.

"That's so unfair, she hit me first." Billy protested and I stared at her in shock.

"I know who you are Billy. You're 20 years and leaving late this year. Grow up!" Professor Henkins scolded.

"Leave," she ordered and Billy stormed out, nudging me hard on the shoulder. I got out slowly and walked to the food hall to meet a janitor in orange holding a bucket and a foam with thick gloves and a big black plastic bag.

"Thanks." I told him and snatched them. He grinned at me, adjusting his uniform

"You should fight more often. You just eased my work," he said and I scowled at him when he walked away.

"Motherfucker." I hissed and groaned at the mess I was to clean. I wore the gloves and and started to pick the dirts when I saw a hand, picking along with me. I looked up and my heart beat increased at the sight of Killian.

"The fuck you need?" I snapped.

"Well someone's not in a good mood," he mumbled and I glared at him.

"What do you want?" I asked him slowly and slightly collected.

"I'm sorry about last night," he said and I narrowed my eyes at him.

"Sorry about kissing me or leaving?" I asked.

"About leaving. I didn't mean that. I felt something towards you Wren, I was just scared," he said and I stared at him in confusion.

"Of what?" I asked and he face palmed himself and stood up.

"I don't know," he rasped out. "I really like you a lot. But I'm scared I won't treat you the way you should be treated. My dad trained me to be mean. I'm scared I'll hurt you." He whispered and I took off the gloves and held his hand. He looked down at me.

"You won't hurt me." I told him and he sagged his shoulders.

"I don't know how to love you Wren. I don't know what to do either. Every time I say those awful things to you," he pointed at his chest, "I feel it here too." He said and my eyes became blurry. His words made me have those butterflies in my stomach.

"You can at least try." I told him and he wiped a tear off my face. I never felt that. He closed his eyes and leaned closer, his hands on my waist and his hot breath fanning my lips.

"I like you," he whispered on my lips and kissed me. I closed my eyes, savoring his taste. He tasted natural. This felt so surreal. He pulled me closer and slanted his face to deepen the kiss. There was nothing for my shaky hands to grip so I fisted his jacket. My knees buckled and he lifted me up, wrapping my legs tightly around his waist and pressed my back against a wall. My fingers tugged on his hair and a little sound escaped me when he groaned. He pulled off quickly, pressing his forehead against mine.

"I can't seem to get enough of your lips. It's like tasting the saltiness of an ocean, it gets you thirsty for more," he whispered against my lips and I raised an eyebrow at him.

"Where did you get that?" I asked him and he grinned which was unusual.

"Marco, my roommate," he said and I laughed.

"Does that mean we're like a thing?" I asked.

"I guess," he replied.

"Are you gonna apologize for your arrogance?" I asked and he rolled his eyes. I wish I could see him smile.

"I'm so sorry for the things I did to you," he pleaded and I gave him a huge smile.

"Apology accepted." I smirked and he smiled, making my eyes go wide.

"You smiled." I squealed and he laughed. I looked at him in awe and poked the tiny dimples on both of his cheeks. He stopped laughing and kissed me again.

"I believe we have work to do," he said.

"Work?" I asked and he motioned his fingers around the hall. I groaned and jumped down. I wore the gloves and together, well mostly him, we cleaned the hall.
