Throughout dinner, Tori and Michael kept giving each other little glances and smiles. Tori felt the happiest shed felt in a long time. The plan as to go to dinner with Michael on Wednesday night after her very first day of performing with the other dancers. She was beyond both excited and scared. It didn't exactly help that Wednesday was the last day the circus would be in Perth. Which would mean it was the grand finale. The circus would leave Perth and head to Sydney, by train. Her life was better than it ever had been before she ran away to Australia. Before, she had no control of her life, or who she was going to be. Everything was all planned out for her 20 years in advance, and she had hated it. Tori was free.
After dinner, Tori and Stacy promptly walked back to the stage.
"So....What happened with you and Michael? Oh my god he's so totally into you!" Stacy gushed. Her voice was higher than usual.
"Nothing much...he...well...HE ASKED ME OUT!" Tori gushed back. She was trying to keep it cool in the beginning, but she couldn't help it.
"Oh my god Tor! I'm so happy for you! When is the date?" Stacy questions as they enter the backstage room, AKA their bedroom.
"Tomorrow!"
"That's not much time woman." Stacy scolds her.
"I know. Why does it matter?"
"You should have set it for a later date so he could let the fact that he's going to a date with a hot chick sink in his mind. Then, he'll become insecure and like you far more than he already does. Plus, we still have to pick out your outfit."
"....Stacy that's a little creepy."
"I know I'm fabulous."
"I'm going to have a shower before bed. I'll be back soon." Stacy states, before grabbing her toilet trees and closing the door behind her.
With a sigh, Tori pulls on the PJS she borrowed from Stacy and settles on her air mattress. She falls asleep pondering why Luke was so grumpy during dinner.

The following morning, Tori woke up with a nervous churning in her stomach. She quietly got dressed in order not to wake Stacy, and headed to the meal area to have an early breakfast before putting a few more hours of crucial practice before she performed for the first time in the circus in the morning show at 11am.
When Tori arrived, she noticed Luke, sitting alone at a table near the back, stuffing scrambled eggs in his mouth and scrolling on his phone.
Tori felt a sudden pang of longing and desire.
Shed missed her phone. (A/N HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAsuckers)
After grabbing a plateful of scrambled eggs and having a forced conversation with Marlene, Tori strutted over to Luke confidently, ready to put last night behind her. Unfortunately, he wasn't. She took a chair directly across the table from him and plopped onto in. He didn't look up once. Instead, Luke continued to scroll through his phone absent-mindedly. Tori just stared at Luke silently refusing to take her eyes off of him. Tori was going to make Luke acknowledge her, if it was the last thing she did. She was still clueless as to why Luke was treating her this way.
And so, she continued to stare.
And stare.
And stare.
This lasted another 3 minutes before Luke's deep, unemotional voice sliced through the silence.
"Why do you keep staring at me?" Luke mumbles, his eyes still locked to the screen. His expression was almost bored.
