Aria's P.O.V
This is bugging Aria so much. Aria knows he's one of the kids who went missing, but if she asked him about it, and she's wrong, that would look really embarrassing, and that would make Aria want to crawl into a hole and die. "Aria, what's with you?" Peter asked Aria, "You've been staring at Chenle for like ten minutes." He continued. Aria looked over at him and sighed.
"This has been bugging me forever." Aria says, as she had her leg bouncing up and down anxiously, and Peter stared at her and was confused.
"What has?" Peter asked her, and Aria sighed in response.
"Chenle." Aria answered, and he was still confused. "What if he is one of the kids who went missing six years ago." she continued and he sighed
"Didn't you research that in like Freshman year?" Peter asked his sister, and Aria nodded, as she let out a breath.
"Yeah, because it was all that everyone talked about." Aria said to him, and she sighed, as she had enough of just standing here. Aria walked over to Chenle who was leaning against a wall of the ship. "Aren't you one of the kids who disappeared back in 2012?" Aria asked Chenle, right off the bat, not even waiting for anything. Chenle looked at her shocked and confused.
"How did you know that?" He asked her, and Aria shrugged in response.
"I researched about it, and when I found a dead end - AKA you being presumed dead, I let it go, but I didn't think you'd actually be alive." Aria explains, and he sighed as he pushed himself off the wall.
"Well that dead end was actually true." Chenle confirmed, and Aria was shocked. Wait what? "I did actually die." Chenle continued and Aria was just really shocked by that. Wow. That's - that's something.
"You died?" Peter asked from behind his twin sister, and Chenle nodded.
"Yeah, then I was resurrected with these powers, and not knowing how to use them - well until I met Stephen." Chenle stated as he crossed his arms.
"How long have you been with him?" Aria asked him in curiosity, and Chenle thought about it for a few seconds, and he shrugged.
"I can't recall how long it has been, but what I do know is that protecting the time stone is way more important than me, because I'm immortal." Chenle says to us
"What's your story?" Peter asked, and Aria looked at him.
"You can't just ask someone that." She says with gritted teeth.
"You're the one who asked him point blank if he was the kid you went missing." Peter argued, and Chenle laughed softly.
"No, no, it's okay guys. I'm okay with talking about it." Chenle reassures them, and Aria and Peter look at him.
"Okay... so what's your story?" She asked softly, and Chenle sighed.
"Well basically, I was on my way to school, and some guys had snatched me up from the street, and he used me as a science project. Torturing me, in many different ways. They did that for maybe a year and a half? I don't know, the details are still fuzzy. Then suddenly I was dead, my body had shut down. They knew that, and they brought me back, but they brought me back with some type of powers, and it was just so weird for me, and it was weird for them. I - I - I killed. I killed them, and I felt this whole bunch of rage bottled up inside me. It was all so much for me. I didn't even want to kill anybody. But, before I was too far gone, I had met Stephen and he taught me how to control my powers, and he helped me calm down my rage and he got rid of my guilt. I nearly killed myself multiple times before I met Stephen because even though I had all this rage built up inside me, I took away people's families. I felt like I couldn't live with myself after that. But I'm lucky to have Stephen, he basically saved my life." Chenle explained, and Aria was just so baffled by it.
What kind of sick person would take a 13 year old boy, and torture him for fun? Aria was just enraged by it. Like that's so messed up.
"Whoa, that's heavy shit." Aria said softly, and Peter nodded.
Aria turned her head to see Renjun pacing back and forth, and it makes her wonder what the hell is going on with him. Aria backed away from her spot, walked over to him, and put her hand on his shoulder. Renjun flinched from the sudden touch of Aria's hand, and she took a step back from him, and he looked over at her and he sighed softly.
"Sorry." Renjun apologized softly.
"Renjun, what's wrong?" Aria asked him and Renjun sighed and shook his head.
"Nothing's wrong, Aria." Renjun told her, and Aria scoffed.
"Renjun, cut the bullshit. You may be an empath, and feel my emotions, but since I'm very observant of the people I care about, I can tell when someone is going through it." Aria said and Renjun sighed and he leaned his head back, and Aria crossed her arms. "Now, I'm going to ask you again, what's wrong with you?" She asked him again, and he sighed and he looked down at the ground.
"I don't like that guy." Renjun confessed, and Aria looked over to Chenle and he was talking with Peter, and she turned her head back over to Renjun and chuckled.
Is he seriously jealous of Chenle?
"Are you jealous of Chenle?" Aria asked him with a sly grin, and he widened his eyes.
"What? No." Renjun says and Aria chuckled.
"Uh huh." Aria said, still with a smile on her face, and she put her arms around his neck, and he placed his arms around her waist. "You know the reason, why I started dating you?" Aria asked him, and he thought about it and he looked back down at his girlfriend, and shook his head with a smirk on his face.
"Nope." Renjun says and Aria rolled her eyes and chuckled.
"It's because I like one and only one person. And his name is Huang Renjun." Aria says and Renjun smiled, and he pulled her close to him, and hugged her tightly. The two stayed like this for a few seconds, until Aria had gone to pull away from the hug but he held onto her tighter "Renjun -" Aria started but he cut her words off.
"Let's just stay like this for a few more seconds." Renjun says and she smiles softly, this moment would feel perfect, if they weren't in a flying donut of a spaceship, and weren't about to fight someone who they haven't taken on before - well it was semi perfect until Aria heard Peter's voice in the background.
"Two years later, you guys are still pretty gross." Peter says, and Aria and Renjun pull away and she turns around to face him.
"You always have to ruin the moment?" Aria asked him.
"It's what big brothers are for." Peter says with a smile and Aria scoffs in response, shaking her head.
"You're older than me by five minutes." Aria says to him and he shrugs with a cheeky grin.
"Still older." Peter states and Aria rolled her eyes, and Aria looked over to see Dr. Strange and Mr. Stark looked over at the front of the ship.
"What's going on over there?" Renjun asked and Aria shrugged.
"Let's go check it out." Aria says and the couple nodded and began to make their way over to them.
