Emma barges into the jail to speak with Abel about her being threatened by Berg, only to slam into a rock hard chest with arms of steel belonging to none other than the drunken fool she met outside of the saloon a few days ago while walking to her hotel.
Beau caught her around the shoulders before she could hit the floor.
"She's a nice little handful," he thought to himself.
She looked up to him, locking eyes, remembering him from their previous run in. Her heart shaped face, with big blue eyes, that were wide with fear, her small breast heaved with each rushed breath she took.
"You!" Beau said with a hard frown now on his handsome face.
When she looked up to the steel hands that caught her and realized they belonged to the high handed scoundrel she met two days ago, her fear changed to all out anger.
"You!!" Emma said with an angered tone in her voice. She could not believe once again she had come face to face with this absent minded idiot.
Abel chuckled, "Guess you two have already met then?" Abel said with a smile. Emma looked around Beau to Abel then back to Beau and said, clenching her teeth, "Get your damn hands off me!" She jerked from Beau's hold only to head towards Abel. Able thought to himself that he loved the fact that she didn't seem to be friendly or like the new law man for that matter, as his arms reached out to catch her by her small petite waist.
"Emma what's wrong darling?" he asked as she clutched the front of his shirt. "Abel arrest him, he propositioned me two days ago over by the saloon. This man was rude as he meant to have his ugly way with me right there on the board walk!" she exclaimed to Abel.
Abel was confused an thought he was hearing her wrong then he tried to hide his smile, but this was Emma, the girl he'd known all of his life. Abel looked at Beau who was already scowling at Emma.
"Arrest me!" Beau shouted at Emma with his finger pointed straight at her lovely face, "lady you were in the wrong place at the wrong time, and what was such a lady as yourself doing by the Saloon anyways if not working?" Beau made that last jab just for her and just to keep that pretty little blush on her cheeks.
Emma blushed a very pretty shade of red you could tell she was madder than a pissed off hornet and that made him smirk at her as her eyes got wide and she shouted, "why you big oaf!" looking straight at Beau with the look that could make him combust right where he stood.
Emma barely knew this man but could already tell that she hated him and wanted nothing to do with him.
Abel looked back and forth between the two as a slow smile crept onto his face.
Beau looked to see his expression and turned away, storming from the jail.
Able turned to Emma as Beau walked out and grabbed her small hand as he lead her to a stool then sat in front of her, straddling another one.
"Emma,I don't think Beau meant any harm to you at all and I'm sure it was just a harmless mistake." He told her.
She took a deep breath.
"Why would he be in here if he wasn't turning himself in for the things he did to me?".
That's when a smile lit up Abel's handsome face.
He looked at her then said, "Beau is the new Marshall."
Her heart just about stopped, she could not believe what she was hearing, this idiot was going to be in charge of this town.
"This town is about to go down is what's going to happen. I can see it already!"
Emma said as she looked away from Able, crossing her arms on her chest and letting out a huge breath.
