"I've never despised a male to such extent, my ex husband? Sure. Hate him- but Connor Manhattan needs his head butchered." Sophia Dixon was seething with pure rage, the lone thought of his face edged with that classic smile
made her want to commit a forbidden sin.

Alice chuckled lightly, certainly enjoying the little commotion as her friend ran hither and tither to obtain every item on the list. They were at Target, and honestly Sophia didn't even believe this man knew about this place shopping from LV and Gucci. Exactly 89 items on the list, nothing less nothing more. What the hell was this man up to with items so vague.
An hour later she had managed to find 28 of them, they were all spread across the aisle and lord help her under the heat. Why would this man need ... apple cider vinegar? A wrench? A sheet of pink paper? All the things on the lost were random, and when she promised him she was willing to do anything for him to not call the cops, she didn't think he'd make her go shop Apple cider vinegar with 88 more items.

After two hours of hard work and Alice straight up laughing at her with little help, the two ladies managed to return to their office with four enormous packets carried by the two. It was almost five pm, but she was just glad that her job was over.

The two ladies reached the entrance and the guards were nice enough to make them wait at the entry and go through every item in the packet, which took another hour before the two entered their office after loading the bad again.

This was all so pointless, and frustrating.

"Do you think Connor is just messing with you?" Alice asked, inside the elevator.

"When is he not messing with me? I feel like sometimes he stays up writing notes on his laptop under the subject 'how to make Sophia cry'. That bastard."

Alice laughed, even though she was tired but watching Sophia quivering with pure rage was beyond laughable. They eventually reached their floor and exited the elevator, walking over to Connors Cabin.

Placing to packets down on the floor, Sophia almost rolled her eyes as she knocked on his door, earning a quick 'come in'

Sophia pushed down on the handle and pushed her knee up to swing that door open fully, clearly infuriated by how stupid she looked. She was quick to pick up her bag and slip through the little space as the door closed, followed by Alice using her back to push open the door with her back and waddle in.

Connor sat on his throne, an amused smile playing on his luscious lips. Oh this was delicious, her sucking up her anger and working like a robot getting the most useless of things.
"Oh should I help?" He questioned, his smile widening as he made no attempt to move from his chair, what so ever. This infuriated Sophia furthermore and at the point if she could, she would love to swing that packet right at his face.
Forcing a smile, she shook her head no and so did Alice. "No, it's no problem."

The two ladies placed them down on the side and were ready to run out of his cabin, grab something to eat and go home to rest, when suddenly Connor spoke. "Miss Dixon, a minute please. Alice, you can leave." He dismissed Alice which made her wiggle her furry brows with uncertainty. "Oh- right." She replied, glancing at her and then back at her boss before walking right out of the cabin.

"What!" Sophia seethed, glaring at the male as she turned around, her voice stern. "What is it? Do you want me to go through every thing on the list again because let me tel you I've gone through it in the supermarket, at the exit and in the security check of your building. What more do you want?"

"First of all-" he started, gesturing her to sit down on the chair across him. When she didn't comply right away he sat back and didn't speak any further until she understood what he wanted. Sophia was seething with anger, oh lord did she want to throttle his neck but decided to give up on her pride and comply to his 'request'. She slumped down with a sigh and Connor smiled.
