They were all sitting in the courtroom just as the trial began. Attorney John Nais stood up. "Sir the defendant is guilty of murder, the reason for this is because the blood on the stock of the shotgun, the blood on the chainsaw were biologically similar to our defendant, and not to mention, a detail the investigators didn't mention until now is the blood is circular meaning someone's blood vessel was popped and there's no way someone could survive being hit on the head with a shotgun and then dismembered with a chainsaw, and the DNA inside those black gloves match the defendants DNA, and the bone fragments were burned and came from a skull so we know someone died, and at this point, the defendant should just confess to what he did, as he has no chance of being proven innocent." John explained within a few minutes. Elijah was quiet, he didn't know what to say except to confess. So he decided he would just confess. "I did in fact kill Oliver, and I'm so guilty about this, I can't do this anymore, so just to save all of our sanity, I'm just gonna confess, on the night of the murder me and Oliver were fighting, I owned him $500 dollars that I borrowed over a span of 5 months, instead of paying him $500 dollars, I struck him on the back of the head with the shotgun stock, I panicked and rolled Oliver up with the tarp and put him by the fire pit, I would clean up the blood with towels and bleach and would put them in the cabinet, I would them take gasoline, a chainsaw, and a box of matches outside, I dismembered Oliver and would burn his body, I would use a shovel and put the ashes in the tarp, I would tie the tarp up, put it in the truck of my dad's car with the fire pit, and I would dump the ashes, I would put everything in the cabinet and lock it." Everyone were in shock as Elijah confessed. The judge didn't have to think, "Elijah Hay, I find you guilty of 1st degree murder and sentence you to 3 years of juvenile detention, and on your 18th birthday you shall serve 10 years in prison"
