Quick author's note, please read first! This part had graphic content, so please, if you're not okay with stuff like that, don't read it, for the love of Thor! Sorry I interrupted the story, you may continue.

Hiccup pressed his lips to mine, and I felt a pain in my very centre as Pitch broke my staff. As I collapsed, an evil smile danced on Hiccup's lips. The very same lips that had just been kissing me. His eyes were practically glowing with gold, and I screamed in anger and betrayal. Then, as I took my last breaths, I saw Pitch slit Hiccup's throat, saying,
"Can you imagine, the pain of betrayal, Hiccup?" Hiccup's glassy eyes looked with a deathly gaze at the moon.

I shot up in bed, sweating, hyperventilating and crying. Hiccup woke up soon after, rushing over to me. Still caught in the mode of the nightmare, I shrank back away from him. My words were slipping away from me. He walked toward me slowly, and I pressed myself against the wall, wishing I could go through it. He put his hand out, and I flinched. His eyes widened as I flew out the window.
"Jack! Come back! Please! What happened?" His voice sounded like he was crying. I looked back, and he was kneeling in the now waist-deep snow. Wind raged around me, and I realised what was happening. I was creating a blizzard. The Blizzard of '68 was being relived. Hurrying before I hurt anyone else, I raced to Antarctica, where I let my powers run rampant. When I was starting to feel weak, the Northern Lights (in the South Pole?) shone above me. Groaning, I came back to Santoff Clausen.

"Jack! Where did you go?"
"Sorry, got held up!"
"'Held up'? What does that mean?"
"It means I got distracted." I rolled my eyes, trying to keep up the 'Guardian of Fun' aesthetic. I was failing. Groaning, I looked around at the other Guardians. Hiccup waved sheepishly, and I took a step back. "Uh, I'm good. I-I'm gonna sit this one out."
"Jack-" Before they could object, I was out the window again, trying to actually escape this time.
"JACK!" I froze right there. Was that- "Come back inside, Jack, after all, that's no way to treat your fellow Guardian now, is it?" It was. It was him

Wow! Two new Guardians in a week! Yikes, who knew Manny could be so quick? After all, he left Jack in the dark (literally) for 300 years! So, even though this is way shorter than normal, I thought I'd level you with my best friend, the Cliffhanger. Who do you think the new (new) Guardian is? Ideas are welcome, and reviews are loved!
