"What's this bullshit you bringing in my house boy?" Earl said stopping Odell from going to his room as he smoked his cigarette.
"My football gear" Odell said looking at his dad.
"Football? Yo sissy ass can't play no football" he laughed.
"But I made the team though" Odell said.
"You ain't playing no damn football, get that shit out my house" he said.
"Dad it's not gonna be in the way, Imma leave it In my room" odell said.
Earl slapped Odell in his face before putting his cigarette out.
"I don't know who the fuck you talking to but you better do what I say" he said.
"I paid for it already! And I want to play football!" Odell snapped at his dad and immediately regretting it.
Odell dad punched him right in his mouth causing Odell to stubble back.
"Nigga who you talking to!?"
"Watch our man, I don't wanna fight" Odell mumbled wiping the the blood from his mouth.
"Oh now yo punk ass don't want no smoke but you was just selling out" Earl said.
"I just wanna play football" odell said.
" AND I SAID NO!" He yelled before mushing Odell.
Odell turned around walking outside, he walked on the side of the house. He sat his football right in the bushes outside his window before he walked back in the house.

"I hate when you fight, look at your handsome face" Demi said putting an ice pack on Odell's face.
"I know but I can't just let them beat me up" Odell said.
Odell ended up getting into a fight with his dad before school for not taking out the trash so he ended up skipping school walking to his girlfriend's house. Odell met Demi 6 months ago at the school basketball game, Demi attended the same high as Odell but he never seen her until that basketball game. Demi was a bit embarrassed to talk to odell since she was older than him and he was still in high school but she gave it a try anyways. And the whole time they've been together Demi didn't know Odell's dad was beating on him.
"Could I stay the night here?" Odell asked.
"Of course but right you have football practice?" She asked.
"I'm kinda sore so I was hoping I'll chill with you" he said.

"Hey Od- woahhh, what the fuck happened to you?" Lauren asked.
"Got into a fight, but I'm good" he said with a smile that then faded quickly.
"Well I hope you fucked them up too" she said walking into the kitchen.
"Of course" he chuckled.
Well not really, he just left his dad with a bust lip and probably a bruise under his eye. But that was nothing compared to what Odell had.
"Where's Demi?" She then asked.
"In the shower"
" I'm surprise you're not in there with her" she chuckled.
Demi actually did offered Odell to join her but he turned her down. He had a big nasty bruise on his abdomen that he didn't want Demi to see. Lauren is one of Demi's cousins, they did everything together so they decided to get a house together as well..... with the help of their parents.
