Quite the Opposites Part 25

--Brenton's POV--

A few minute passed by and no one has came back yet. I start to worry for Bridgett and begin pacing.

Marie:Bridgett just came in and got the Zapfish. Expect her to super jump back.

I calm down and start looking to the sky,checking for any sign of Bridgett. I see a certain shining in the distance.

Brenton:That must be her. | Bridgett:*in the distance* Brenton!

Bridgett stabilizes herself in the air and lands behind me.

Bridgett:*stumbles* Woah! (gets her footing) Nailed it!

Bridgett turns around and I see the Zapfish she's holding.

Bridgett:Oh,hey Brenton! You finished fast! | Brenton:Yeah,thanks to the Calamari Inkantation. | Bridgett:You were listening to it? How? | Marie:I'm right here,you know. | Bridgett:Oh! | Marie:*chuckles* Sati and Ember just got the Zapfish. They'll be here in a minute.

My Zapfish stop hiding behind me and seems to say hello to the other Zapfish.

Bridgett:They're so cute! I'm kinda surprised how they weren't scared that I'm here. | Brenton:Well,there's Sati. | Bridgett:Oh wait,yeah.

I hear flapping off in the distance,so I look to the sky and see Sati and Ember flying to us. Both of them land and the Zapfish they rescued popped their heads out.

Ember:Hey guys! Hope we didn't take too long! | Brenton:It's ok. We just came here a few minutes ago. | Sati:Next thing to do is to bring these guys back to Inkopolis City. | Bridgett:One problem. | Ember:What's that? | Bridgett:I can't fly like you guys! | Brenton:*sits down* Then get on.

Bridgett gasps,then squealed in excitement and tackled me. I grow my wings and stabilize myself from her tackle.

Ember:*laughs* Then follow me to the electric plants.

We all take off to the skies and head to Inkopolis City. Ember gave us directions and we all split to our destinations. I return my Zapfish back to his home and flew to Bridgett's destination.

Bridgett:Hah~ I love it when we fly through the air,Brenton! | Brenton:I'm glad you do,love.

I land in an alleyway and discreetly entered the electric plant. We returned Bridgett's Zapfish and head back out. I pick up Bridgett bridal style and head back to Octo Canyon. I gently land on my feet and see Ember and Sati waiting for us.

Brenton:We're back. | Ember:Cool! Now,there's two more levels until we hit the boss kettle. I'm thinking of switching a bit. Sati,you'll be with Brenton. Bridgett,you'll be with me. | Sati:*widens her eyes* A-Are you sure...? I me-I mean...! | Brenton:I'm game. Switch things up a bit. | Bridgett:Yeah! What's wrong,Sati?

Sati puts her hands together and start to look nervous. Ember gives us a signal and we gave them space to start talking privately. I turn around and grabbed Bridgett's attention.

Brenton:You thinking of reminding him about your fight with him? | Bridgett:*taps her golden toothpick* Yeah,see if he can finally remember the old me! | Brenton:You mean remember the old Octoling that used to be fighting against him? | Bridgett:Yeah! | Brenton:Hrm...Ok then.

I notice Ember and Sati finished talking. I saw Sati still holding her hands together,still very nervous looking.

Ember:Alright,let's go. Sati,Brenton,you two will be in level 14. Me and Bridgett will be in level 15. After that,we'll take a two hour break so we can rest up for the Boss Kettle.
