A loud ringing noise emanated throughout our bedroom. I tiredly grab my phone and check who's calling me,it's Marie?
Ember:*picks up* (groggy)> Morning,Marie. What do you need? | Marie:Tell your team to have a day off today. There's a Splatfest today! | Ember:*still groggy* Splatfest? What's it about? | Marie:Don't have a clue,but enjoy it today!
Marie hangs up the call and I toss my phone back at the bedside drawer.
Sati:*half awake* Something wrong,dear? | Ember:Nothing. We have a day off today. I'm going to continue to sleep with you. | Sati:Mm~ That sounds good...
--Brenton's POV--
Brenton:*snores*
A ding echoed through our bedroom and it woke me and Bridgett up. I float my phone up to my face and see a message from Ember.
Ember:*text* Hey,sorry if I wake you up. We got a day off. There's a Splatfest going on today,so knock yourself out.
I pocket my phone while Bridgett gives me a kiss.
Bridgett:So...? | Brenton:Day off today. Splatfest. | Bridgett:*wakes up* Splatfest!? Let's go,let's go,let's go! I'm making breakfast!
Bridgett basically carried me to the table and immediately start cooking. I stand up and go over to the coffee machine.
Brenton:Mmm...Dirty beans...
I grab a mug and poured coffee on it. I drink the dirty beans and feel the caffeine waking up my brain.
Brenton:*satisfied sigh* Hits right at home. | Bridgett:Breakfast's ready!
I sit back down at the dining table and we both ate our food. Bridgett finished her food first,surprisingly,and patiently wait for me to finish. I put the dish on the sink and we both head off to the Square.
Brenton:It seems like their still setting it up,love. | Bridgett:Really? | Brenton:As far as I've read,Splatfest happens around dusk. | Bridgett:At night? So...what are we gonna do? | Brenton:I'm thinking of going around town and just have a good time together. | Bridgett:That sounds good!
Pearl:Ya'll know what time it is! | Marina:It's Off the Hook,coming at you LIVE from Inkopolis Square!
We find a table nearby Crusty Seans',then the daily annoyance of Pearl and Marina's rotation announcements attracted our attentions.
