《 Chapter 20 - Sacrifice 》

Day one, Dear Notebook

I'm Tenshi Kurushimu, the son of Fuji Kurushimu and Anna Kurushimu.

Today is July 7, 3047 and I just turned 14 years old! My mother gave me this Notebook because she told me that in the future, I might want to look back into my past and remember things. I think its a good idea to be honest in case I magically have amnesia Hehe... that won't happen but whatever. So today, we celebrated my birthday by traveling to the bases of the different races! We visited the U.S.A, Brazil, U.K, Australia, China, Italy, Canada, and Russia. I don't really remember the order of the countries because the whole trip I just looked around and was amazed, but what amazed me the most was the Ancient Slabs! Before going home, we went there and it was super cool. It was my first time there and it was so cool! Everything was damaged yet it still looked so cool. Me and Keichiro played while Khira just stayed with mom. Keichiro is my older brother while Khira is my younger sister. My older brother is already 16 while my younger sister is just 12. Anyways, after we visited many places, we went back home. 

I don't really have much to write here anymore so I'll be going now! I don't think I can write daily here so I'll try to at least write here once every week or once every month!

TENSHI'S POV

Khira... Keichiro... Anna... Fuji... It was so much clear here that they were part of my family yet I didn't even know until Keichiro told me so. I am part of a family with high authority but they were the ones who started the war. 

Wait... why did the war begin?

I've heard many different stories about how it all started but I still had many questions. 

9th Month, April 27 3048. 

Ever since this year started I expected bad things. Dad and Mom always fought and I feel like they're gonna split up someday. Keichiro and Khira even said so as well. I'm going to write early in case something might happen. Dad has been acting suspicious and he was always out late. Sometimes I don't even see him come home for a week. I'm honestly scared but I just hope nothing will go wrong. Mom left this morning and she told me that Dad was going to come home at night. Mom said she had some business with the other Race Leaders so she had to go alone. I wanted to go with her because I was worried, Keichiro went with her instead. I understand why, Keichiro is way stronger than me and he knows whats best for everyone. I trust my bro. Khira and me stayed at the house, she stayed in the living room, watching some movies and shows from the past while I just stayed at my room the whole day. It is almost night so I'm going to sleep for a while before Dad comes home. If anything goes wrong, I think it's because of Dad and what he's experimenting. 

Tenshi, Myself, If I am reading this in the future and something goes wrong, please do what Dad asks you to do so. I think he just wants to do something to save everyone from what Ms. Marielle and Sr. Ayato did. That is all.

Trust... Fuji? That is the last thing I wanna do in my life. I don't really know what I should do anymore. Maybe Fuji was trying to do something to undo the race abilities? Maybe he was trying to balance our powers? It sounded peaceful before the war so why'd he have to change something? Also... my mother. Is she alive?

I tried to read more pages because I instantly skipped to the end. Everything looked... happy. It was like a normal life. Everything changed when... that night came. That's when I forgot everything? That's when, me and my siblings got separated. Did mom ever come home when we got banished? What happened after that? Every page was empty after that specific log. I have so many questions yet only one person can answer that. Fuji.

Before I knew it, it was already morning. I didn't have a proper rest but I don't care. The war was already tomorrow and I have to get ready just like the others. Aito knocked at my door and greeted me good morning. He asked why I looked like a zombie, I told him I didn't sleep properly. I instantly changed the topic so it wouldn't go to the Notebook and it worked. After the talk, we went to our training room.

"Are you guys ready?" Kakusareta asked
"Not really sure hahaha" Ishi said, laughing awkwardly. 
"We can do this" Kagaku said
"I know." Owari said
"W-well... I noticed a pattern..." Mikasa said
"What pattern?" Ki asked
"Every war, every c-counter with the S-sakerarenais, all they w-want is Tenshi to j-join them... I think t-they would target Tenshi f-first out of anyone in t-the Academy" Mikasa answered

That is true. This war lies on my hand. Many lives will be taken if I say No, and if I say Yes... I don't really know what happens.

Aito looked at me, worried. I did promise him I wont leave him... but for lives of many? I don't know what to do but it is obvious what is the Right thing to do. 

"I know what to do." I told them
"W-which is?" Mikasa asked
"Just fight them. I'll handle Fuji if he ever fights. I think you guys can fight off the other strong Sakerarenais anyways so you guys can go handle them." I answered
"Tenshi, Fuji is way too strong for you to handle. I've seen what he can do and it's not even his full potential yet." Owari said
"I'll come with you-" Aito said as I stopped him
"No need for backup. I know what I'm doing." I said

Mikasa looked at Kakusareta with uncertainty but Kakusareta agreed with me.

"Now I know what to do today." Kakusareta said
