《 Chapter 22 - Promise 》

SAKERARENAI BASE

KEICHIRO'S POV

The war was tomorrow and the only order Fuji gave me was to fight Tenshi. He said he won't go to it even though he told Tenshi's Academy he was, but it was obvious he wasn't. If he was going to the battle field it'd be a surprise and he announced this battle. 

What a joke. Tenshi's obviously gonna fall for Fuji's trick. Tenshi is way too easy to trick, the simple trick with Aito already worked, what else wouldn't?

Someone knocked at my Room's door.

"Kei-san!!! You up for breakfast?" Fuuka asked outside
"Sure" I answered
"Hurry up already!!! Me and Sora are hungeeeeeryyyyyy!" Fuuka said
"That's not a word" I said as I opened the door
"Ah! Finally! Lets goooo!" Fuuka said as she took my hands and ran towards the canteen.

When we arrived there, we already had a table.

"Oh thank god" I said
"You're very much so welcome" Sora said
"Fuck off" I said as Fuuka slaps me and tells me to stop swearing
"Jeez could you two just stop fighting alreadyyyyy?" Fuuka asked
"Never in a million years" Sora said
"Sure. I could live with that" I said
"Hmf!" Fuuka said, mad
"okay okay fine, sorry." Sora said, trying to cheer up Fuuka
"ehhhh! Let's just order food already! What'd you want Kei-san?" Fuuka asked
"I'll just get some Bacon and Eggs, that's it" I answered
"Owkeeeeyy!" Fuuka said as she pulls Sora to order food.

After getting food, Fuuka got serious. It was her other side. 

"Plans about tomorrow?" Fuuka asked
"Oh, it's you." Sora said
"Answer the question." Fuuka said
"I take care of Tenshi while Sora takes care of the representatives and you take care of the Leaders?" I asked
"Sure sure" Sora agreed
"Take it seriously." Fuuka said
"Right right." Sora said

We finished eating and Fuuka just stayed on that side ever since we ate. As a normal routine, I went to the hut deep in the forest and watered the plants there. 

I hear movement around the forest and looked around. I got my gun and got it ready to shoot as a little girl, wearing a red destroyed dress appeared in front of me.

"A-are you K-keichiro K-kurushimu?" she asked
"Who are you?" I ask as I put down my gun
"I asked first S-sir" she said
"Yes, I am Keichiro Kurushimu. Who are you?" I ask
"I am Kuro... I heard a man was looking for you a few days ago... did you meet him?" she asked
"Ah Tenshi... yes I did" I answered
"Oh okay... that is all..." she said as she leaves instantly.

She was wearing a red hood so I couldn't really identify her. It doesn't matter, she really didn't do anything so I don't mind.

I went back to the base and Fuuka told me I was called over to Fuji's office. Again? What is it this time?

I went inside then he instantly stands up in front of me, emitting a mad aura.

"What." I said
"You sure know what you did." Fuji said as he punches me.

I blocked his punch by kicking his legs but he teleported away.

"Disobeying me now huh? Just because I gave you freedom that doesn't mean you can do anything you want young man." he said
"and that doesn't mean I'll be staying here." I said as I raised a bad finger on him and teleported away.

By now, Sakerarenais would be against me as well. Fuuka and Sora would even kill me if Fuji ordered it. At this point, I lost hope. Nothing will change in this world. This endless cycle of Life and Death will go on until who knows when. 

I stayed over at the hut for a while then when I woke up, I was back in my room.

It was all a dream. 

Was that a sign? Was that a warning? All I know is that Sakerarenais can have dreams from the past but not from the future. If that is true, did I make the right choice then?

The same thing happened. Fuuka asked me to eat with Sora and her. 
I went to the hut and met that "Kuro" girl.

Finally, when I was called to Fuji's office, it happened differently.

When I entered his office he was still sitting down and he looked more chill.

"What is it?" I aksed
"You told Tenshi didn't you?" he asked
"I did." I answered
" Why?" he asked
"He's stupid and he doesn't know what he's doing." I answered
"You do know he still is gonna fall for it, why bother helping?" he asked
"I had to try." I answered

Fuji is good at reading and manipulating people. Even just now he read through me. He knows that I knew Tenshi will still fall for Fuji's trick yet I still tried because I don't want to have a guilt that tells me that I didn't try at all. At least when something bad does happen, I actually did something, and it was no longer my fault.

"Heh... do you still want to go to the moon?" he asked
"why?" I asked back
"I do know a way that you can go there" he answered
"I'm not falling for this." I said as I walked out

Before I could even go open the door to go outside, he asked

"Kaori, was it?"

I looked back at him, surprised

"What do you want from me?" I asked
"If you are able to convince Tenshi to do the Legend, I'll give you the device that can take you to the moon" he answered
"and what device is that?" I asked
"A jet." he answered

Jets did exist and humans used to use them to travel around the Universe. Immigration to other planets or universe did exist by the year 2073 but after the experiment, humans destroyed everything in exchange to learning how to use their evolved abilities. 

"How do I know you're not lying?" I asked
"You can ask Fuuka to go and see it." he answered
"I'll do it." I answered

"Good." he said

Fuji might've just manipulated me but, I promised her this and I will do it no matter what, even if it costs my life. Fuji knows that I can convince Tenshi since I am his older brother, but... 

I'm sorry Tenshi. I need that trip for her.
