The two patients stared at each other. Seokjin noticed that Patient Jung had cut himself all around his ankles. He was bleeding severely yet by seeing the amount of blood, the older man wasn't triggered one bit.
Instead, he approached Hoseok as the young, delusional patient kept on imagining floating dolphins all around him.
"Woah! Be careful, Patient Kim! There are tiny fishies everywhere. Don't step on them. Look! Look! Hiiii, there! Wave at them!" His eyes shut for a moment, as he smiled brightly staring now at the blood stained floor, and dirty walls, with enormous spider webs.
Seokjin played along with the patient, and gently moved aside, missing a few dents on the floor where he imagined those fish could be.
"Hold still, don't move while I'm doing this. Understood?" Patient Jung nodded, as Seokjin held his ankles, firmly.
His eyes glisten as he worked his black magic through the wounded parts in Hoseok's body, healing him but draining his very own energy in the process. He's never healed any other patient before, aside from his own self, and now that his powers were being consumed into Hoseok's body, he felt weakened.
But he didn't stop until the wounds were sealed. Although he managed to fully seal his wounds, Hoseok was now left with round scars all over his ankles, that would remain within his body, permanently. But the patient didn't seem to mind it, or be upset by this disappointing news.
"Thank you, Patient Kim. You saved me... Well, you, and God." By mentioning that name, Seokjin hissed at Hoseok, earning a scream from the younger man as he retreated from Patient Kim in shock.
"Wh-what? D-d-did I do something wrong? I'm sorry. I'm very sorry!" The older male calmed himself, after covering his ears for a while, leaving Patient Jung with confusion.
"What has this man done for you..... To be... Worthy of worshiping?" He questioned, clenching his jaw, sharply. Hoseok was taken back by this, but answered the vampire with honesty.
"Well, I'm thankful to him because he gave me a beautiful family. My father, mother, sister... Even a small dog I had called Micky! And well, now I'm thankful for him because he lead me to you." Hoseok admitted to the man. But this patient simply raised his head up high and mischievously laughed, so creepily that even Patient Jung feared his laughter
with all his might. He stepped away from him for a while, but then he stayed when Patient Kim started to speak again, after he placed a heavy, black mask over his mouth, covering his appearance
for safety reasons.Hoseok's safety, of course. Not his.
"You earned that family on your own, Patient Jung. This God you speak of... I wouldn't thank him from having brought me into this cursed world. You know what I would do if I ever met him, face-to-face?" His change in voice had startled Hoseok, intimidating him to the core.
Patient Kim's voice was now very different. His once deepened, groggy tone, had shifted into a completely different voice. It was almost as if he had a large echo within his vocals.
As if there were more than just one person speaking out of his own, distorted, trembling voice.
"P....Patient Kim, what's wrong with your voice? You sound... Strange." Hoseok flinched, his facial expressions worsened by the minute, the closer Seokjin approached him.
"Answer me, Jung Hoseok. Do you have, even the slight idea, of what I would tell him?" Hoseok lowered his head, unable to answer the man, who was now right in front of him.
"I would apologize to him. Because I was not a life worth creating, Patient Jung. I should have been destroyed, not immortalized. Now, do you get why my belief is gone?"
By hearing this, Hoseok grew tense. The atmosphere around the two males grew dense, and almost toxic. Hoseok stared down at the floor, and Seokjin watched as he collapsed on the floor, gasping for air.
"Hoseok... What are you experiencing? What's happening? Hey! React!" Seokjin picked him up and slapped him across the face, earning a loud scream from him.
"Hurry!! S-somebody!! Please, save me! I... Can't swim... I can't... Swim..." His breathing was slowing down. Hoseok was hallucinating, unable to distinguish in between the reality he was living, or the one he was seeing through his mind.
Everything he was imagining was coming to life, right before his eyes. He was now drowning in an ocean, there was no one around. His vision was blurring, and he was breathing heavily, as his lungs were getting filled up with water.
"Swim? There's no water in..." Patient Kim suddenly realized what was happening to Patient Jung. He knew that the man was having another vision. And this time, the vision he was having, was far worse.
It revealed part of his past. A past that even Seokjin himself thought was unbelievable.
"You can do it, Patient Jung. Listen to me, you need to find your way back to the surface. Find a way to escape the ocean." But Patient Jung panicked.
"I... Can't. I CAN'T! SOMEONE HELP ME, I CAN'T SWIM!! Help me! Help me, friend!!" Seokjin felt hopeless, while staring at the lost Patient. He didn't fully understand what he was going through, but he tried his very best to uncover the true meaning behind his visions.
And why he kept on imagining floating fishes, or dolphins.
"Hoseok, there has to be a way back out. Swim to different direction until you see land once more." Patient Kim noticed that Hoseok's body had stopped moving. His limbs were more relaxed... Too relaxed for his liking.
Hoseok wasn't moving at all, as he remained in Seokjin's arms, almost lifeless.
"Open your eyes... This instant, Patient Jung." Hoseok was no longer responding to Seokjin, and his body felt cold. His lips were parted halfway, so Seokjin lay him on the ground and performed CPR on him.
Although he's never seen, or done this to anyone before, the man thought it was worth a shot, so he gave it his all, and attempted to bring Hoseok back to life.
He pinched the tip of his nose, and took a deep breath in, giving Hoseok mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. After three attempts, the vampire had just about given up. His sharp teeth had ripped through Hoseok's flesh, causing his lips to bleed.
And at his very last attempt to save the man's life, Seokjin started to compress his chest, pumping it until he finally gave up on rescuing him, and declared the man dead in his perspective.
He sighed, getting up from the ground. As he walked away, his leg was caught by something that prevented him from moving any further. Having been stopped, he paid full attention to what had halted his steps.
"Patient Jung... You're alive?"
