Notes:

A short update as this lockdown and all is flaring up my anxiety and I can't sit for a long time to wreck my brain for the stories. Hope you like it. x

"You all take rest for the day, we will talk after lunch," Mr Styles said, ushering the boys to their rooms. Liam and Zayn were escorted towards the guestrooms. The three friends matched eyes, their eyes talking what their mouths couldn't convey.

Louis smiled tiredly at them, nodding in an assuring way before he grabbed Jay's wrist, "let's go to your room, mum."

Jay frowned, risking a glance at Harry who was standing right by the stairway. The omega looked ashen as Louis walked past him with Jay, completely ignoring him.

"What happened?" Jay asked, climbing the staircase. Louis shrugged, fingers lacing through his mum's.

"I missed you. Can't I just spend some time with you?"

Jay nodded, shaking off the worry that was trying to cloud her mind, a smile rose on her lips, "of course you can. I missed you, boo."

Louis smiled back, trying hard to ignore the gaze that was pointed at him and was weighing down his steps.

Louis laid his head on Jay's lap, closing his eyes as soon as those soft fingers started combing through his hair. Something ignited in him, feeding on the tenderness he had missed for a long time now. He looked up at Jay, watching her as she watched him back.

"I don't think Harry will ever love me, mum."

Jay's motion halted for a fraction of second before she resumed, "what happened?"

Louis inhaled deeply, hiding his face in his mum's lap and feeling the calm only a mother could provide, "I think I shall divorce him. Let him go."

Jay said nothing, her hand coming down to rub Louis' back. Louis bit his lower lip, trying to hold in the words he had bubbling inside him. The oozing tears were hidden in the layers of Jay's clothes but the suffocation he felt would not go away no matter how hard Louis tried.

Jay sighed, Louis could feel the heave of her chest, "if that's what it comes down to then you shall. I want you to be happy, Louis, anything you do if you are doing it for your happiness then as your mum I will support it."

Louis stayed quiet, his eyes locked on the prints of the bed-sheet.

The cracking of the door made him look at it, his muscles going taut.

Louis watched Harry step into the room, their eyes met as Harry closed the door behind him.

Louis searched those eyes for guilt or at least remorse but nothing. They held worry and hesitance. Louis could not say anything when Harry came to sit at the edge of the bed, looking at him.

The alpha closed his eyes, turning his face against Jay's side. The pain of seeing that face made his lips twist with disgust. Why was he so affected by Harry? Still?

For a few moments, no one said anything. Louis laid there with closed eyes, feeling eyes on him.

"Harry," Jay said after a while, "can you ask Anne to make some soup? Louis' running fever it seems."

"Oh!" Harry said, the bed moving as the omega stood up, "an-anything else?"

Jay chuckled, "no. I will take care of the rest."
