Chapter 9

*Third Person's POV*

"Why Can't she? She's my girlfriend."

Everyone was silent because of what Kai just blurted out. They weren't expecting this.

Kai? The King of Black University, the rumoured hunk, the rich kid, and the arrogant type of a guy who's always on the news, telling something about having a girlfriend.

"Hahahaha." Everyone looked at Queen who was laughing her heart out. She looks like a crazy person who just got out of the mental hospital. "I didn't know you love jokes. That's so hilarious." She said.

Confusion was painted on Kai's face. His brows creased from irritation. Suho noticed this and immediately went beside Kai. He whispered something to him that made him look at Pye.

Pye became curious as to what is being said. Her brows furrowed  as she try to read the situation. She became alert when Suho finished talking to Kai. Kai was just there, staring at her.

"Yeah. Kai loves to joke. As a matter of fact, he's really a big joker when it's just us." Suho said, talking about their group. And also, he hates seeing girls being bullied. He can't stand it when someone is being hurt physically and mentally." He added.

Pye heaved a deep sigh when she saw everyone taking what Suho said seriously. She was relieved that no one noticed that he was just lying.

"Isn't it funny? Kai having a girlfriend?" Chanyeol said, trying to lighten up the mood. He even made face and laughed loudly.

Queen was just looking at them, probably examining the current situation. She and her gang were just standing there while everyone was laughing. Maybe thinking that everything was just a big joke.

"Anyways, I hope you'll stop bullying others." Chanyeol said. He snickered when he saw Empress stiffened. He put his arms around her shoulder making her froze in delight.

"Yeah that's right. Don't you know that girls with demure and quiet characteristics are remarkable? They always gets my attention." Luhan said. 

"Yeah. A girl who loves to smile, and as usual, cute in her own way." Chanyeol said in dreamy eyes. 

"Right. A kind and filial woman, indeed. A woman who can cook delicious foods." Kris said in his cold voice. Well, it'll be a miracle if Kris would leave a comment using a cheerful voice. That'll be written in history, maybe?

"Girls who are kind. I'd love that." Sehun said with a smile plastered on his face.

"Not for me. I like clean surroundings and it'll be the same when it comes to girls. I like girls who's responsible for their own. Girls who are clean with their environment." D.O. said. He's using his poker-face again, but still, girls around them were hyperventilating. 

"A girl with long silky hair. I'd love it if she's fun to be with." Suho said. He grinned on his own statement, probably thinking about someone.

"A girl..." Baekhyun was cut off by Suho. "Ok. That's enough. Let's get going now. We're disrupting their study hours." Suho announced.

"Aish! Suho gramps! What was that?" Baekhyun groaned. Well, he wasn't finished yet from sharing his ideal type. "Hey dude, restrain yourself. There's always next time." Chanyeol recommended. He gave Baekhyun a 'cheer-up' smile and tapped his shoulder.

"No way. There'll be no 'next time'. We're weary of that already. And I'm pretty sure that it's just the same old saying of yours again. The 'My ideal type is a girl full of charms'." Luhan said. "Am I right?" He appended.

Baekhyun just sulked at the corner. He wasn't feeling bad, he was just making Luhan feel guilty. 

"Suho's right. There are students who can't attend their class because of us. We better get going." Chen said. "Yeah." Xiumin and Lay both agreed. "Yup. You're right. I'm so freakin' hot right?" Baekhyun was now back on his own world, complimenting his own self again. "Nah. Stop that. Get a hold of yourself." Kyungsoo restrained him from saying another word. 

"Hahahaha. Stop joking around Bacon." Luhan appended while faking a laugh. 

Yah! Stop that, let's go now. We're already finished on our job which is to help Kai." Suho said. He was the leader after all. 

"You satisfied?" Sehun exasperated. Kai knew that Sehun was pertaining to Pye who was currently talking with Chanyeol and Baekhyun. "Shut up." He uttered.

"Tch. Why can't you just say it? You wanted to see her and that's the sole reason as to why we're here right now." Kris aggravated. Chen and Luhan agreed by his statement.

"Ugh! Shut up hyung!" Kai hollered. He was being played by his hyungs and it made him peeved by what they are saying. He started walking away and the others followed him.

As they left, students began to leave. Pye was the only one left there standing. She was about to leave when her phone rang. She looked at the caller ID to see that it's an unregistered number.

It says...

[Don't worry, that's Kai. He might looked like an arrogant person but he's not. He really isn't, trust me. He was the one who asked us to come here, to see you. And also, just tell us if those girls tries to bully you again. Take care.]

She just smiled. She knew that it was one of them. She decided to go back to her room since class would start in less than a minute.

---EXO's Mansion

"Hyung?" Kai started. Suho nodded as a response. He knew that something was bothering Kai the moment they got home. "Why can't I say about our relationship? About me and... Pye?" He asked, holding his pet dog, Monggu.

Suho heaved a sigh and looked at Kai. "As I remember, you and Pye had a conversation about that before you got married. And you told us that you and Pye decided to appear as a couple in front of public eyes." Suho lied. He never thought that he would lie to his dongsaeng(younger).

"Then why did you stopped me from telling about our relationship... Ugh... Scratch that. What I mean is, why did you revoked what I sad earlier? About her being my girlfriend." Kai asked. His voice was full of curiosity. Even his expression was asking.

"Because there's a possibility. A possibility that she might get hurt. You know about your status. There are many girls that'll do anything just to get you and in her case, she'll be in total danger." Suho clarified.

He can't accept the fact that he was good in lying because of the guilt that's rising up.

Kai felt the urge to wreck something apart but his mind was telling him to calm down. He was definitely pissed off.

"Kamjjong, think about what will happened to Pye if ever those girls found out that you already have a girlfriend or much worse, what if they found out that she's your wife?." Suho was convincing him. He felt useless, he can't even protect his girl. Well, even though he doesn't knew much about her, he still thinks of her as his wife. So the credibility of her being his wife is his main priority.

"Psh. Fine." Kai replied. "And also, I need some privacy. Please don't go in whenever you like." Kai added when he noticed that Suho has no plan on going out of his room. 

"Psh. I better put a sign outside. Yeah right. I better put a sign saying, "No trespassers allowed!"

He sighed as he laid on his bed with Monggu beside him. "For the record, I think this is the first time I've felt this way. Monggu-yah, why am I like this? Am I sick? Why is it that I want her to be always by my side? Ugh!" He was obviously talking to his dog.

"Monggu-yah, what do you think? Is this what a new married couple feels after their wedding?" He asked again. He was now looking at his dog.

Monggu who can't seem to understand his master, licked Kai's face.
