I almost finished my first week of college. My weekend officially started in just a few short hours. I absolutely love Sarah. She's really sweet and she likes to talk. Which doesn't bother me because it I don't like to talk, so she fills the silence. I look through my locker for the books to my next class and as soon as I shut it Sarah's at my side. "Hey!" She says with excitement. Just before I speak she opens her mouth "what are you doing this weekend?!" I turn my body towards her.

"I don't know. What's up?"

"There's a party! Its a bunch of kids from school and it'll be a chance to meet new people. I mean I've kind of been way into my studies and haven't had the time to be social! You should SO come."

A party. Is it sad to say I've maybe only been to two parties in my life? I couldn't really party. I had my daughter to tend to my teenage years. Other than birthday parties and family get togethers, of course. But I knew this wasn't going to be that kind of party. I look back at Sarah as she's waiting for my answer. "Sure. Just let me check with my mom to make sure I don't have to watch my little sister" "you have a little sister?! That's so cool!" She shoots out "I wish I had a little sister, a little mini me" I blinked twice. Because that's exactly what Sophie is, shes my twin. I hate lying to Sarah about Soph. I might tell her one day but today's definitely not the day. I'm starting to trust her, thought. I shut my locker and we head to class. It seems like decades have passed before we're finally dismissed. I gather my books and grab my backpack before heading out the door. I look down at my phone getting ready to text my mom before I feel something slam into my side. "Damn!" I hear a husky voice exclaim.

I look up to see a dark haired guy looking down on me. Oh my, is he beautiful. He's wearing a ball cap and his blue eyes capture mine. I drop my eyes down his face admiring his gorgeous features. He definitely isn't smiling but you can tell he has dimples. He's probably six foot three and his broad shoulders are leaned back. "Watch where you're going!" He says as he walks out the door. What the hell? I pick myself off the floor and head to my car. I text my mom on the way asking how Soph is and telling her I'm on the way home. I get halfway through the parking lot before my phone dings.

Hi!! Party's in Dawson County. It'll be a lot of people, not sure how many. Please come! Don't let me do this on my own.

She's so overdramatic.

Fine. But youre picking me up. Okay?? If I'm going to be around THAT many people I'm definitely having a couple drinks. see you tonight!

I have no idea what I'm going to wear and six o clock came quick. My mom agreed to watch Sophia as long as I don't get into any trouble. I agreed. Not sure how much trouble I can get into on my first night out in ages.

Sarah shows up at my house right on time. I say bye to my mom and kiss Sophia on the forehead. My baby is getting so big. I walk out the door and jump into Sarah's car. I look over as she's looking blankly at me. "What?" "You look INCREDIBLE!" She exclaims. I threw on a black dress that came a little below my knees and actually curled my hair for the first time in forever. I had on bright red lipstick and my black heels. I never get to dress up so maybe I outdid it a little but oh well, I feel beautiful. "Thanks" I say as I smile in her direction.

We pull up to the house about ten minutes later. It's not that bad. The house was two stories and was kind of plain on the outside. We walk up to the door and I quickly notice a few people from high school standing on the front porch. Shawn was the owner of the house. He was about my age, maybe twenty two or twenty three. When I first got pregnant he was the first person I told. We use to be so close. Throughout the years we kind of lost touch. "Hey!" He practically screams as he walks up and gives me a hug. "Long time no see! How's the baby?" I shoot a look at Sarah has her jaw dropped. Well, the mommy secret didn't last long. "Good." I get out as I look back at Shawn. "Getting big." So much for meeting new people.
