May of 2007
.
The casualty (however my admired friend Irene Álvarez
says that is the causality what it exists really) made the
municipal elections in March of 2007 and my novela
Españ@.es, joined for a good cause; politics and literature
together, what a surprise! But I'm going to explain it:
Lorenzo Callejo, councillor after these elections and, at the
same time lieutenant mayor of Soto de la Vega, a small
village in the province of León, read Españ@.es and
proposed me to start, so far he could do it, what I set up in
my book.
- By next July we could sponsor an event about my
friend Francisco Angulo's biological fuel. As at this
time, a lot of holiday- makers come to our village we
could celebrate a ludic act and at the same time
interesting to make people conscious of the necessity
of respecting the enviroment. What do you think?
- But, does that fuel work really?
- I have seen myself, and Francisco has been using it
for several years without any problems in his own
vehicle.
- Antonio, we can't risk. It may be a failure; don't
forget we are a Town Hall, an official institution...
- Well, I can call Francisco and we will make the
biological fuel, following his instructions, with a
transparency which will avoid any doubt. And after
14
cheking it, if works properly you make a decision. Do
you agree?
