we had so much planned out
we would sail the oceans
settle by an island under the bussing sun
with our little family
we would love each other unconditionally
we promised the stars that would wait for us
waiting for us they stood
but it's getting too late
breaking down your walls that's not what it seems to be
so busy trying to hide your own sanity
the feelings will fade at one point
don't you just feel the same
with our lives so different so far apart
when time permits let's try again
however overwhelming it will be we will work this out
let's not forget we have so much more to see
it was too hard to tell you

you're not the person to appear on my mind
it was simply a blank space
maybe we were blinded by the perfect illusion
it was just the easy promises that ruled out
