Chapter 16

Craig's POV

Wildcat comes to sit beside me as I take another hit of the smoke. "So what's wrong?" He asks as I face the ground, eyeing the few drops of blood. "Just thinking." "About what?" I sign looking up at the night sky, seeing the stars shining brightly as I let a few tears fall from my eyes. I feel Wildcat lightly grab my left wrist making me hiss loudly from the sudden pain. I feel the sleeve of my hoodie being rolled up then hearing a loud gasp coming from Wildcat. "Why?" I hear him ask in a sad voice, I sign seeing I can't hide it anymore. "Promise you won't tell Luke or the rest of the guys?" I ask turning my head towards him to look at him. "Promise." I nod my head as I roll up the sleeve on my right arm hearing another gasp come from Wildcat. "When did you do this?" "10 minutes ago." Wildcat then got up from the bench and started pacing around pretty much pulling his hair out. "Why?!" I jumped a little from the sudden burst of energy coming from him as I slowly move away from him. "I don't know.." I say looking to the ground feeling bad. "What do you mean you don't know?! Mini you just fucking cut yourself!" I could feel tears welling up in the corners of my eyes, I blink letting them fall down my face. "I-I don't know.. I wasn't thinking.. I didn't think anymore would find out.." By now I was fully crying, sobbing quietly as I let my head fall into my hands. I could hear Wildcat sign as he comes to sit beside me, I move away from him scared that he might do something to me. "Mini I'm not going to hurt you." I didn't say anything as I stayed where I was. "I'm sorry I yelled at you.. I just don't like seeing you like this, it hurts me Min. Please tell me why." I look up at him seeing a tear roll down the left side of his face. I move closer to him until our shoulders were touching. "May I?" He asks lightly grabbing my left arm, I hiss in pain seeing that the blood was starting to soak through the graze. I nod my head at him as he rolls the sleeve up the rest of the way, bringing my wrist to his lips he starts to lightly plant kisses on the cuts. I feel my eyes go wide at the action he was doing, my cheeks start heating up as he goes up my arm.

"W-what are you d-doing?!" I ask seeing him grin at me, making me blush more. "How many are there?" I hear him ask as he locks eyes with me. "T-to many to count probably." I say making him sign as he goes to my other arm, pulling the sleeve up and starts kissing my cuts again. "You know Min, you can always talk to me right?" He looks up at me as he continues kissing my cuts. "Y-yeah, I was just scared of losing you." I say turning my head to the side so I wouldn't have to look at him. I felt my chin being turned back to look at him, he had stopped kissing my cuts and was now looking me dead in the eyes. "You won't ever lose me Mini, you mean to much to me." I felt myself blushing making Wildcat chuckle. "I'm sorry I didn't come to you, Thank you for this by the way." I say lifting my arm up while putting a little smile on my face. "Don't worry about it Mini, I'm always gonna be here for you. No matter what." I moved towards Wildcat bringing him in for a hug. My arms were wrapped lightly around his neck as his were wrapped tightly around my waist. "You should be getting back to Luke, I'm sure he's going to have another search party for us again if you don't." I chuckled lightly at Wildcat, soon feeling worry replace it though. "I don't really want to go back, He's going to notice something is wrong and he can't know I did this." I say lifting up my arm slightly. "I mean, you could stay with me." I look up at him seeing a slight blush on his cheeks, I thought it was cute.. wait what? I shake that thought out of my head as I look back at Wildcat. "Isn't Vanoss your roommate though?" I tilt my head to the side slightly. "We could always just sleep in the forest." Wildcat says eyeing the path that led to the forest where we had fallen asleep a few hours ago. "Okay." I say as I stand up, Wildcat doing the same. "Wait what about Luke?" I turn back to face him, pulling out my phone and bringing it up to my ear. "Hey Craig, What's up?" I feel myself begin to shake from being nerves, I felt Wildcat's hand rub my back calming me down. "I was wondering if I could stay with Wildcat for the night?" I could hear him signing, he hums to himself. "I guess, Why though?" I look to my side at Wildcat with worry in my eyes. "I-I Just need too." "Okay whatever." He says then hangs up the phone, I put my phone in my back pocket turning my body towards Wildcat's, I rest of head on his chest signing to myself trying to calm myself down. He brings his hand to the top of my head as he starts playing with my hair making me smile. "We should get going If we want to get some rest." I nod my head against his chest not wanting him to stop playing with my hair.

We start walking down the path towards the forest in silence, Once we got there we Both turned into our hybrid forms. I walk over to the little pond, looking down to the water seeing the reflection of myself, I see Wildcat come over to me resting his head on mine. He starts purring making me giggle as I move my head against his. I start walking into the little pond getting a confused look from Wildcat, I start jogging on the spot splashing little water. I could hear Wildcat chuckle to himself as his eyes follow me. I get out of the water shaking my body to dry off. "Dude there's a cat right here!" Wildcat says laughing at the end making me giggle. Wildcat then walked off somewhere leaving me alone with my thoughts.

I look down at the water looking at myself, god I have changed so much in the last five years. Sometimes I think of telling Wildcat everything, but I don't want to lose him so I keep my mouth shut. I hear Wildcats paw's hitting the ground softly meaning he was back, but I didn't move from my spot. Staying put where I was, to scared to look anywhere else. "You're beautiful." I hear Wildcat say softly, I turn my head at him seeing he was looking right back at me. His eyes were shining brightly as the moon reflected off his blue eyes, making them stand out from the rest of his features. He starts walking over to me as I turn my head back to the water, feeling Wildcats head goes into my side making me giggle. "You truly are beautiful though Mini." I blush slightly as I look up to the sky, seeing the stars shining brightly at Wildcat and I.

"When I was little, about 5 years old my house was set on fire. My family pushed me out of the house saving my life as they all Died, or so I thought." I said looking over at Wildcat, he had that look in his eyes telling me to go on. I sign to myself as I look back at the sky. "I ran into this forest, I found a boy around my age crying, he said that the same thing had happened to him. We ended up finding a house in the middle of the forest and seeing that no one was living in It we decided to take it and make it our own." I smile sadly at the thought of that little house we had found, god how I miss it. "Anyways, about five and a half years ago I had gone to high school with him, I met these amazing people and I also met the love of my life.." I felt tears welling up in the corners of my eyes as I hide them from Wildcat. "What happened?" Wildcat asked, he seemed to really be intersed in my story. "They all found out I was a hybrid, the only thing I could think of at the time was to run and leave everything behind.. I regret my mistake everyday that passes and I wish I could go back and not have run away from my family.." By now I was crying, Wildcat rubbed his head against my face to wipe away some of the tears. "That's why I cut.. I just couldn't deal with the fact that they all probably hate me." I felt Wildcat lick the side of my face making me giggle slightly. "Thanks kitty." I say pushing my head against his. "No problem foxy." I giggle at the nickname as I lay down. "Also, That person you remind me of was the love of my life.." I say as I look up at him, he comes and rests his forehead against mine, we both smile as we just sit there looking into each others eyes. "You know, Your story sounds a lot like mine." Wildcat says catching my attention. "Please tell." I say getting a little chuckle from him.
